But that grove that is already there doesn’t match up. It seems to match up with this: https://www.flickr.com/gp/99777373@N05/x0091S

And my apologies guys, I know this is a stupid problem.

Judging by the service manual picture and looking at the line textures in the drawings, it looks like the orange is facing down and the washer is on top.

You are correct, the orange does face down. Also the black part sits flush inside the dust boot. This means the washer fits in one of the orange grooves, question now: which one? Dun dun duuuun :icon14:

killrain 06-04-2018 01:34 PM

Think I’ll just leave it out. The black half washer looking thing.

Went to the dentist. Discovered that at 29, I have receding gum lines already. My genetics really do suck.

JARblue 06-04-2018 04:08 PM

Fully Adrift batch released Saturday :yum:

I picked up 3 crowlers yesterday (32 oz cans). Headed to pick up 3 more now. Planning to get 3 more tomorrow. And every day after that until they run out :D

Well, apprears whoever had the car before me stripped half a thread on the sway bar link towards the middle and the top. The nut as well. Now need to find both or a new today. :shakes head:

killrain 06-04-2018 04:37 PM

Anyone know the size and pith for the sway bar link nut?

killrain 06-04-2018 04:45 PM

Well looks like it’s an m12x1.25

But the top of my link thread is what’s stopping it.

I think I was able to fix the thread on the link with dremel. The nut is shot, but I tested the top part on the link and it threaded well until it hit the stripped part. Going to parts store in a bit.

This is why I need a junker as a back up. I should really finish putting my exterras engine back together.

Killrain- Didnt forget about your exhaust questions. If you end up in this neck of the woods I'll give the whole CBE for $300. The TPs might be going away sooner than I thought.

Good thing that is an optional part. If it complains, have it removed!
