You gotta get on a track or on some private property w/asphalt & practice,,,as you’ll definitely need a locking differential to control the drift. The open diff & sometimes the vlsd will not cooperate.....just be safe!
Take EW with you.

Your profile says you drive in circles,,,didn’t know if that was on a racetrack or around the block?

jchammond 05-29-2018 08:58 PM

I’m trying not to think too deep into my next build,,,it’s either gonna be a Fast Intentions TT Kit or an NRE N/A LS build.....I .got time to think it over; looking like first of year before things get straightened out.

Closest track to me is 3 hours away. I make it out once or twice a summer. That's it. All other joyride are done at under 30mph in city traffic.

You should do it with the YAW sensor off too. :driving: It's even more fun.

Just your TC hahahahaha

Ok, so for poops and laughter, I turned off the VDC and punched it coming out of my subdivision, I mean closed professional track. The a$$ end immediately came around to meet me and then after over correcting, shot around the other way. :ugh2:

My neighbors probably think I drive a Ruststag now. At least there were no spectators on the side of the road to run over.

I'm guessing I'm too use to doing this in the Camaro, in which you have to give a lot of steering to ride the slide. Not so much in the Z. I'm sure the 140 extra ponies has something to do with it too. I need more practice.

It's ok. The cop watching me do a launch control test in a massive open parking lot was less then pleased as well this morning. Don't put big parking lots with closed shops in front of me! We all knew this was bound to happen!

I get better gas mileage driving the Fit around town than on these high speed Texas highways. I put 512 miles (95% highway) on it yesterday and got 26.7 mpg on cruise control :shakes head:

It's rated for 28 city and 35 highway. Maybe at 55 mph it could get 35 mpg

I feel so lucky not to have one of those on the front of the car.
I am up to a whole 14892 mi on the Z after my wife and I went over to the Subaru dealershit to look at the Ascent.
Salesman for the nissan dealership came out and asked if I wanted to sell the car.

I said that until a few weeks back my front end was struck by a rock about the size of a golf ball bouncing around on the highway. It nailed my license plate - first time I've ever been thankful to have one installed :twocents:

I made them take $700 off the car when I purchased it because I originally stated I did not want anything drilled into the front bumper. I would manage the plate myself. They did it anyways and I renegotiated the deal. Figured $700 was enough for me to get it filled and repainted at a later date when the rock chips start to add up.
