its 78 and 44% humidity here and it's amazing :tiphat:

I spent all week in Minneapolis. Pretty much identical weather. Wish I had taken more time and the fishing gear. Walleye on the fly is on my freshwater bucketlist.

Brutal is right. Fishing is only good in the morning and maybe the last 30 mins or hr before dusk.

I'm not even sure about that other than the fact that fish are actually feeding at that time. Plane landed at 11:45 last night. It was 96F still :shakes head:

During the summer I only fish at night by lights on the Texas City Dyke.

For summer fishing I just remove all expectations. It's all about getting out in nature. As long as I'm wiling to brave the weather, then it doesn't matter what happens on the water.

Mom grew up in Texas City and still has a sister and family in La Marque. I've been fishing on the dyke many times

Check the age of the helmet. A lot of org's will not let you use a helmet that is older then 5 yrs of age, and the SA2010 is out of date. The SA2015 is the current standard. So check on what you are allowed.

My hair is going away fast. And that's with no kids, much less a second, hormone-laced teenager

I raised one girl and that was enough. Boys are a lot easier.

I have one sister, and my parents said the exact same thing.

But they were quick to point out that she was much more rewarding :inoutroflpuke:

It's something to keep in mine. When I was doing motorcycles. I would get a new helmet every 5 years, or if the helmet took a hit. The one year, I went through 3 helmets. I have 7 helmets sitting in the house now. Next year. I have to get another motorcycle helmet.
