Think it's time to file a dispute with PayPal? I've never had to do so before...

madwi 05-16-2018 08:18 AM

Jlarson, are you going to Zdayz? If you are I might just kiss you. :icon17: I removed the heatshields and one was resting on the o2 sensor bung.
I fired the car up afterwords and gave it a little gas and it sounded like a normal car again lol. Thanks man!

Well, I was planning on going, but unless you aren't the full figured somewhat hairy man you've been described as, your kisses are not exactly a strong incentive!

But seriously, glad it worked out. Those heat shields caused me a lot of aggravation with my 350. With my 370, I said screw it, not playing this game again, and removed anything that looked close to my pipes. I've never regretted that choice!

You are safe, the noise is back when accelerating hard. :( Not sure if it is the TPs or what.

Might as well just part out the car to me. I'll take the wheels, brakes, button, diffuser, spoiler, and NOS kit...... $1 and a rack of ribs suffice for payment?

Btw, how ere those pierogies?!?!?! I forgot to ask!!!!

Hmm. Ok so they don't bolt to the old bracket that used to hold the OEM cats rigid; did you remove that bracket Madwi? Also, how are the exhaust tips aligned in the rear bumper? Any issues with contact? Those are the simple fixes to check out.

JARblue 05-16-2018 10:14 AM

AAM and FI are far from close

One is far and away a top innovator and vendor for 370Z parts. Whereas AAM just wants your money regardless of whether they've actually produced the part.

I meant in terms of them both being of metal materials and having round-ish shapes.

I would argue they're more cylindrical. But I see your point lol

It's cool bro, just put the round long thing on the thing you drive and it'll make more noise come out of the round thing on the driving thing!

Old bracket is out, exhaust tips are aligned fine, evenly spaced and dont touch the diffuser, maybe 1/2"ish gap between the top of the exhaust tip and the diffuser.

madwi 05-16-2018 11:01 AM

I cant catch it on video either. Both iphone and dashcam dont pick it up over the exhaust.
