None of the outcasts, stoners or rebel types are going it seems.

My dilemma is this -- why go hang out with people I did not like that much in school?

The solution is easy. None of the popular kids care, so don't go unless you feel like inflating your own ego. We all know you're a successful chicken counter. That's all that matters.

Yup. That's basically my take on it. If your friends aren't going, you're just going to either strut your stuff, or to see how much everyone else has changed/become a better human being.

I was homeschooled, so I don't deal with these little pressures :ughdance:

My 40th is this year as well. I was one of those popular kids you are talking about except for I was friends with everybody. I was a band rat, played sports and hung out with nerds, lol. There were two high schools in my town and we combined them my senior year so we have joint reunions. My observations are that most of us are very humble as we have seen a lot and been through a lot of stuff. Also, many of those popular or not so are no longer with us and it makes see those we were forced to spend are youth with worth it. I will be attending mine and laugh and cry a little for life is short and our relationships are the most valuable thing we have while we are here on this rock! So urge you to go and have an open mind about it. Get out of you comfort zone you ain't that pimply faced teen and most will not have experienced the success and joy you have.

Just my two cents brother!

I disagree, most of this is done by the 20 year mark. Those that are so high and mighty won't show at the 30 or 40 because none of their classmates matter to them. They are too busy rolling with the big shots.

:hello:

I am in a similar boat as Hotrodz. I played four different sports and hung out with nerds, stoners, band geeks, whoever. Missed my 10 year but 20th is coming up next year, so I'm looking forward to catching up with some people.

I just don't go to mine because I hate everyone.
