How much is a set of wheel locks?

Decals are probably your best bet for hp/$$ ratio :twocents:

lol i know. there's pieces under 1k but pretty much any modding requires a flash/tune so gotta get a cobb or ecutek.

i like the features on ecutech and the bluetooth stuff but cobb has quick easy tunes on it for basic mods like breathers and light fuel mods.

Speaking of tuning, held off on removing springs yesterday. Not going to work today and thinking about getting a tune. I wonder if Specialty Z accepts walk-ins.... or maybe just hold off on it...

You need to call and make an appointment as there is no such thing as walk-in at SpecialtyZ unless you want to say hi and make an appointment.

Went to a local show for the first time in quite a while, saw Black Label Society with Corrosion of Conformity. My body is reminding me that 1) I wake up entirely too early for all that nonsense and 2) I need caffeine.

I miss being a night owl.

On the way to the show last night, I was talking with my buddy Matt who bought the tickets. His dad owns a speed shop, he's grown up working on cars, had an 80's chevy truck that he souped up to do 12's in the quarter mile, etc. His kid Noah is about 3 and a half, and occasionally says clever things.

Well Matt tells me "The other morning, the wife and I walk outside with Noah, and he points to a honda civic someone parked there and says 'What kind of car is that?' so my wife tells him, and says 'do you like it?' to which Noah responds 'Ick! No! Not enough horsepower!'" :icon17:

Kids learn quick!

My oldest is almost 2.5 and there is a merge by our house that I will occasionally gun it when it's open and she has a blast. Every time we get to the light now I hear "Go Go Go Daddy!" from the back. Fun when it's me and her. Except now I guess she's started telling my wife that "daddy go fast" when she gets to the same merge. What a nark :rofl2:

Rusty 07-31-2018 12:47 PM

Never trust kids. They will squeal on you and not know it. Got in a ton of trouble with the first wife. Once kids learn. Then they think it's funny. And do it all the time.

A lot of department meetings today. More shadow training the remainder of the week. A lot going on. Been hectic and busy, but in a good way. It's beautiful not having emails after hours constantly vibrating your phone.

The IT guy my old company brought over from Portugal is turning into a mess. He can't handle the workload or constant requests from the office. Apparently they're quickly realizing how much I handled and how my constant complaining was actually warranted.

Speaking of priceless moments... My buddy was lived downtown at a condo for years. Finally got married and had a kid, also named Noah, but they didn't move out until he was about 3 years old. A few months before they moved out, he and Noah were headed down to the pool. They didn't stay long due to a college frat party feel going on. But when they headed back up to the apartment a girl in a g-string got on the full elevator with them and turned around with her a$$ right in Noah's face. Dad covered his face but Noah was already inquiring: "Miss!! Where are your pants?!?" :rofl2:

A dentist visit, a crown, and $350 later I'm finally at work. Ready to go until 11pm or so.

Except I'm starving and can't eat until the numbness wears off... should be soon though.

Hmmm... $350, the same amount EW mentioned spending earlier. Maybe EW got a crown instead of car parts?!

But I'm pretty sure he needs his butt cavity inspected for defects, not his mouth...

Well, to be fair, it was like $1500, but only $350 OOP, which I paid for using my HSA. So $0 OOP.

Good luck. 45 minutes at LAX is pretty short.
