Someone tel me exactly what I need to buy to allow the front lip to screw into the bumper more secure? The self tapping screws it came with worked great other than the front left side which was about 1/4th inch gap. No amount of screwing helped and double sided 3M tape wouldn't hold.

i used nuts bolts and washers to mount the real ings on my ride. just drill a couple of holes through the bottom part of the bumper and tighten.

but be careful not to over tighten as it might crack. use large washers to disperse the clamp force.

Thanks. Looks like I'll be heading to lowes this weekend. The Z should be fine on 2 jack stands in the front and the bumper missing for a few days. OnZ says it'll be fine in the rain.

my rear diffuser I used some small bolts with larger washers. you could put a dab of loctite on too if you are worried about the nut loosening up.

i used a bunch of dose when i installed the lip on my GTI the other month.

snug tight is all u want, i know some faktards crank them bolts on so tight after a while experience fatique cracks around da holes. lol after all it is splitting through da air at over 70mph..

subaru included some awesome screw type rubberized rivets in their STI splitter kit.
dat is a very cool way to mount cause it's tight, yet has give.

kenchan 05-03-2017 06:35 PM

saw an STI driving next to me (GTI) on da express way tonight. waz so faking jelly :D
