Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone :hello:

Pulling out the Honda (lawnmower) in about 180 minutes. I don't think the neighbors would appreciate me firing it up at 5 am. Actually, to be honest, I don't really care what the neighbors think - it's my wife's wrath that I'm really avoiding :icon17:

Thank you. One of my sons found this transmission in a wrecking yard a few years ago. The T5 was the tranny used in the 1982 and 1983 280ZX turbo.

I traded him a 51 inch Sony rear projection TV for it. He got 3 or so year's worth of use from the TV before it died. When it did die, he and some friends took it out in the country and used it for target practice with their AR-15s.

I sat on this transmission for a long time and finally goat around to getting it checked out by my transmission guys. It was in rough shape.

It took then about 7 months to find all the parts they needed for a rebuild (synchros, bearings, seals, input and main shafts). 900 dollars later, I got it back.

Rep Freely.

Not a terrible price tag  What else do you need to do to the Z?

2. Engine build (although I may buy from these guys)

STR Series | DATSUN SPIRIT, INC.

3. Interior panel replacement (I already have all of them -- new)

4. Weather stripping (I have all of it -- new)

5. Paint

6. Go out and wreck it

I got a respite on yard work for now - it is currently raining :ugh:

If it were raining harder I would take the Z out for a spin to clean up the wheel wells and undercarriage. Drove through some wet road base earlier this week and it looks like I've been off-roading in the Z :icon17:
