Around, boy a lot has happened. Life really goes by fast. Geez my Z is 8 yrs old!!! Well, Ive had my first child, Nixon. Hes 6 months old. The girl I have been dating since before I took delivery of my Z and I are getting married in July. And, well, currently my Z has been sitting in the driveway since July with a bent connecting rod. Ive been lurking around the forum the past week or so reading engine stuff. Spring is upon us and I need to get this project started. Figured Id look in here and see who is still around. I see many have come and many have fallen but you and Ken are unmovable!!!

How did you bend the con rod?

I really dont know. The engine has burned oil pretty bad since day 1. Should really of had a consumption test done. I drove it to a shop to get tires thrown on and an oil change and it felt fine. I got it back and it started acting weird, loss of power and what not. Nissan says bent rod in cylinder 3. 11k for new motor installed from Nissan. I was like no friggin way and drove it home and its been sitting in the driveway ever since. Who knows if the shop did something or not and how would I prove it so whatever. Its just an opportunity to mod again. Thinkin an IPP stage 1 built longblock, some headers since i never felt like putting them on myself, an underdrive pulley and a new clutch while its out. After that a nice new Ecutek tune and I hope to be putting down some solid N/A numbers. Right now Im just trying to convince myself to take on the project and dedicate that money. Thankfully the future wife is encouraging me :)
