GL on da refi.

when we refinanced mid-term (or watever u call it) i saved us like 100k or something.. went from 30 yr to 15yr too.. paid off in 10yrs
honestly we couldve paid it off in less dan 5yrs..

JARblue 04-14-2017 08:38 AM

I will say that 15yr note and interest rate looked very appealing ... instead we're earn$pending a $40K 2nd lien for renovations after the refi goes through :icon17:

New 30 yr note is only 25 pts higher than our current interest rate, so not terrible. Mortgage has been going up lately since we escrow taxes and the property is increasing in value, but we drop over $100 per month just by getting rid of the stupid mortgage insurance required by the FHA loan structure.

kenchan 04-14-2017 08:43 AM

da STI will last me another 7-8yrs easily.. thing is just a blast to drive.
keeping my hobby cars for like 10yrs saves so much $$$ too..

Thankfully the mortgage is very reasonable still. I do a decent job of saving by having 1/4 of my paycheck direct deposited into savings. Having the Z paid off is huge for us - it was 1/3 of the mortgage payment. Tempted to use some of the money and put it towards the Honda loan. But it's at 0.9% and cheaper than the Z note was. Plus I'm sure my wife will want to spend every dime on the house :icon17:

sounds good. yah, at 0.9% not sure if its worth it. eating less tacohell and less painus and less toilet paper consumption might be able to cover dat amount :rofl2: if datz a loan id pay it off when u can and just drive it until it's like 10yrs old or more. easiest way to save money on a car is just drive it to da ground.

Nah. Just a poly spoiler and the ings front lip. Vacation trip this year took precedence over Z parts. But I feel like doing some modding this year still.

Leingod 04-14-2017 09:02 AM

Nope. They were on the list for this year, but going to Disney has changed that. And when I do get wheels, I want them done right. Leaning more towards TE-37's now... but who knows when the time comes.

u have sport brakes? TE37's will reveal a lot of caliper if ure still on the non-akebono's. might want to go with something with more spokes if not or do bbk's while ure at it.

rooftop 04-14-2017 09:16 AM

hi

kenchan 04-14-2017 09:17 AM

i like how my Z and STI's calipers are both big yet black. :D STI even has da factory dark mesh wheels which makes the calipers stand out even less.. yet when one takes a good look, dem bbk's are big barely clear the wheels. very nicely done :D

Good point. I haz more thinking to do. I'll just have you order me mystery wheels when the time comes. hahaha. Probably the easiest thing to do. I don't even know what color I would inevitably want still.

Avoid PMI always. Money down the drain!

If possible, I always suggest not to escrow taxes either. I much prefer to set up my own tax "escrow" into an investment account. It's not for everyone as it takes strict discipline to ensure you have the funds, but in my opinion, I'd rather have control of my money and having it earn more money for me and not the bank
