Extended storage is most definitely NOT the SSD strong-suit. But I've been extremely please with OS drive performance running 80-500 GB SSD drives from 3-8 years old on a variety of machines both personal and business with only one issue. And that drive was under warranty (Acronis image backup worked wonders for transferring old to new).

Wife has brunch scheduled tomorrow. I think I'm going to go play a nearby, very technical disc golf course that is especially tricky after rains (it's been raining all day :D).

Yah I still rely on HD's for extended storage. Ssd's great for fast os operation and especially playing my huge virtual piano files for my music playing fosho but not fully trustworthy for daily repetitive saving of work files.

kenchan 03-05-2017 07:09 AM

Pulling out my jarse in 5. No don't get :excited: EW, I'm not going to crack my porcelain.

Going outside to work on my car. :D

Same her. I use the SSD for OS and temporary cache files during rendering, but all my media, renders and backups go to HD... 12TB on this one so it couldn't be SSD even if I wanted.

This is the catch all the BS thread now.

madwi 03-05-2017 01:29 PM

Speaking of BS, I am a dummy. Mounted the resevoir, leveled it out perfectly and took a step back to admire and.... I left the painters tape on from when I was drilling the holes. Never occurred to me to take it off. :icon17:

kenchan 03-05-2017 01:58 PM

looks aggressive and perfect. took it out for a spin to big dips on da expressway to check if anything rubs. no rubbing passed 100% A+ :woot:

den during my drive, dis faking pos mofo garbage in a new maxima wanted to race so i just backed off.. i mean like completely off cruise. but dis car for 50 yr old something male losers who couldnt afford to buy a Q50S had to go like 100mph to da point he nearly crashed into other cars. WTF! i let u win out of sympathy, why u need to pull others into ur misery?

maximas are like minivans. dey race faster cars for no reason.

kenchan 03-05-2017 01:59 PM

i mean dont u feel sad driving a minivan? u should also feel sad driving a maxima. to us car guys, dey both exactly da same. one is just uglier dan da other. same bald headed middle aged losers driving.

kenchan 03-05-2017 02:01 PM

I ordered a few cable combs form amazon, should be here tomorrow. I gotta loosen all 20 bolts on the radiator to hide the fan wires and I am lazy lol.

I should purposely make the pics blurry, save me a bunch of time!

madwi 03-05-2017 02:30 PM

Cables should look nice and neat with the combs, if they fit :eekdance: Micrometer said they were about 2.85mm diameter and combs are 3mm but they are coming from china so they could be 6mm :eekdance: :rofl2:
They should look sorta like this when installed. much neater looking.

With this open case, I have to make the wires look good. Most of my other gaming rigs I had, I just made them work and clsed the side panels so you couldnt see the mess. :icon17:

kenchan 03-05-2017 02:35 PM
