Kenchan, the GF just found her old floor mats for her Fit. Do you need a spare set? She was going to toss them.

Engine and transmission oils are done. Differential is draining right now. Decided to do power steering also. Engine bay is dismantled down to the throttle bodies to be removed for cleaning. Plastic bits are all going to get cleaned and treated with Super VRT also

I'll probably have to wait for my wife to get home tomorrow to finish though because I removed one rear brake pad and realized I don't have any lube for the new brake pad backing plate

thats a lot of work right there, good stuff man...

it's normal practice after coolant drain/fill. i burbed the system twice but the level still dropped a little bit (still higher than the low mark).

eastwest2300 04-16-2016 06:05 PM

you didn't lend him a helping hand mr. kenchan??

ur entire car is up in the air? if so do it cause u can probably get more coolant out. :D i could only get about 1.5+ gallons out with the ramps.

If you looked at mine right now, that's what you would say.

It doesn't help that I use cinder blocks for jack stands :ugh: ;)

I don't have enough coolant anyway. The bottle I have is opened for 1+ year so probably needs to go. And it's half empty anyway (not used on mine - I share with other Z's).

kenchan 04-16-2016 06:11 PM

since i dont have the raceramp chocks for the tires on the ramps, i did not want to risk raising the rear of the Z on my slightly sloped driveway. lol

car would probably just slide off the ramp. :eekdance:
