That's what was in my head when I wrote it. I recently watched a stupid meme on FB that had it in the back round.

Do I need to re torque something for the wheels because I don't remember it being like that before.

Retorque to 100 ft/lbs, 80 is not enough. :icon14:

K, dumb question time. I used my jack on the differential yesterday (red circle). The proper jack point apparently even though it still scares me. I placed my stands on the inner part of the pinch rails where the little oval cutout is. My stands were sitting partially inside the oval cutout. (blue circle). I now see others putting the stands on the silver area right next to the rear tires. Springs I assume. (orange area). Should I be placing my stands on those instead of parallel to the pinch rails? The front, I plan to place my stands in the exact location as the photo.

It kind of depends what you are working on. The blue ovals are good for changing tires or working on brakes. The orange spots might be better for doing suspension work, more support to keep things from flopping around. As long as the car is stable, you should be good. Hope this helps. :)

Ghostvette 04-15-2016 01:25 PM

Lein, BTW, I have 4 OEM lug nuts that I took off of my car when I put on the locks. They are yours if you want them. :)

I'll send you a PM this weekend. MB has an ammo crate full of lugs also and was willing to send me a few. If he can't find his, I'll let ya know. Thanks so much!! I love this community so damn much.

Awesome. Thank you. Was just afraid sicne my jacks were technically sitting in the oval opening on the blue circles. I plan to just put my stands parallel to the rail pinches on the front. Someone posted a photo of it looking almost like a brace.

Masterbeatty 04-15-2016 02:01 PM

Well, if you wouldn't hammer nails into the printer that wouldn't be necessary :icon14:

This exactly what I've done for five years now

Ghost makes a good point about different types of work and using the rear spring buckets for suspension work.
