I finally got my HD CMC :woot:

I really wanted to install it yesterday, but I need to do some maintenance on the slave cylinder first. I noticed the return spring was busted (not a big deal), but I also slightly stripped the bleeder valve. So I'm ordering replacements from Z1 and will do the CMC install on Sat.

Idk what most of that is other than the SC and MC, but it sounds like a fun project!!!

The return spring and bleeder valve are part of the slave cylinder (I have Z1's CSC elimination kit).

So basically, I am driving to Texas when the time comes for an install of a HD CSC or MSC.

You'll spend more on the drive down than you'll save having a local competent shop do the work. Plus, I had help doing the original install and wouldn't necessarily want to do another transmission drop on jack stands in my garage. Maintenance, on the other hand, is easy. And the CMC is an easy install with the right tools

Does anyone have recommendations on other cars I should be looking at when the Civic is finally gone? It doesn't need to be fast. Just reliable, easy to fix, and preferably something with hydraulic steering. Can't stand the Civic's electronic crap. All for under 8k roughly.

Current choices i am looking at:

Volvo C30
Volvo S60
Volvo V70
Jeep Wrangler
Chevy S-10
Cobalt SS/SC/TC
Some wicked old Subbie Outback

I'd just turn it into a vacation week. That's all. Still sounds like a nightmare and something I'd mess up very quickly though.

The master cylinder is really easy. Seriously.

Slave cylinder isn't terribly difficult but it's a lot more labor intensive.

I really like this for some reason even if it looks a bit girlish
