What other languages do you speak?
Out of curiosity :) What's your primary language, and do you know how to speak anything else?
For me, my primary language is obviously English. But I also speak Japanese, Indonesian, and rudimentary Spanish (which absolutely kills me in Los Angeles, lol) |
Spanish, English and a bit of Italian.

Good English, Bad English, and some Spanish

English
Bad English (Not everyone is literate...) Slang (Modern Generation) Ebonics (In certain parts of the country, you understand...) British (Which is not the same as English lol) German (I know basic conversation, letters, numbers, sporradic words, and how to tell if I am/going somewhere I don't wanna be, and how to get out) That should be the First thing you learn if your ever going to a foreign country... |
English is first language.
I can read and write spanish, but I find it hard to keep up in conversation (unless I'm mildly drunk, then I seem to do fine, I guess its just feeling self conscious about it when not drinking). I can also make out about 70% of Portuguese when I read it. |

Oigan, chicos, pues vamos a darle un poco al español, ah?! Pa' encima, brothers!!!
(Native speaker of Spanish, but I love English--American English--so I decided to take grammar, phonetics, orthography, semantics, the whole nine yards, to improve my skills in it). So, woof in either, 'cause I can woof in both! Saludos/Greetings, amigos! |
PORTUGUESAAAAAA!!
and i can read/write spanish (its been awhile but i should still be able to) and i can speak it |
I speak fluent Afrikaans, some French and then English.
Any other South Africans on here? |
...Portuguesa...hmmm...Jobim y la chica de Ipanema (la garota de Ipanema, ah?!). Brazilian music is my favorite music (I'm aware of the fact that being Portuguese isn't synonym of being Brazilian, but you DO share the same language!)
J. Arnaldo Nuñez (Nunhes/Nunes, in Portuguese, I guess!) Hasta pronto! |

native language: Spanish
also speak, write, and read: English and Portuguese. I understand Italian, can read it and all, but cannot hold an intense conversation in it. to similar to Spanish and Portuguese. I tried German for about 3 months... but after the two exchange students left Florida, that was it. |
