Out of curiosity :) What's your primary language, and do you know how to speak anything else?

For me, my primary language is obviously English. But I also speak Japanese, Indonesian, and rudimentary Spanish (which absolutely kills me in Los Angeles, lol)

Spanish, English and a bit of Italian.

Good English, Bad English, and some Spanish

I have to ask, what nationality are you?(just courious)

English is obviously my first language, and I'm minoring in French. I can speak it well enough to hold conversations, but I can't write a book or anything like that...

Chinese-blooded, born in Indonesia, moved to USA before I was two months old.

Ebonics (In certain parts of the country, you understand...)
British (Which is not the same as English lol)
German (I know basic conversation, letters, numbers, sporradic words, and

That should be the First thing you learn if your ever going to a foreign country...

English is first language.
I can read and write spanish, but I find it hard to keep up in conversation (unless I'm mildly drunk, then I seem to do fine, I guess its just feeling self conscious about it when not drinking).
I can also make out about 70% of Portuguese when I read it.

That's what I thought. Most/majority Americans are to lazy, or can't pick up on another language (my self). I took a Spanish class, but I got frustrated and gave up.
What I find surprising is watching TV, and the number of people over seas that can speak English.

well it certainly helps that English is the most widespread and still considered the "business language of the world". So most countries will still have English courses in some way shape or form, i.e. Japan has mandatory courses from elementary school all the way until graduate level coursework.

I speak, read and write English, Arabic (around 3 dialects) and French

I understand Italian, can read it and all, but cannot hold an intense conversation in it. to similar to Spanish and Portuguese.

I tried German for about 3 months... but after the two exchange students left Florida, that was it.
