Just say F it and see if it will pass. The muffler has nothing to do with emissions control. That sucks you have to inspect it every year. I remember my old car was every other year for emissions when registered in CT.

Every state is better than NY it seems haha. Inspection is due at the end of this month and I will NOT drive my poor car until all the salt is off the roads again. Knowing my luck, i'll get pulled over on my way to get it inspected.

NY statute thing says any change other than stock is technically illegal. Some Evo and STI forums tho say that it's not really enforced unless obnoxiously loud. Guess it will depend on if the inspector had his coffee or not. Muffler has nothing to do with emissions. So i'm hopeful...
