can't say for certain. if i were u, id just get an aftermarket spoiler if a new factory one is too steep.

long time ago i bought my G's rear lip trunk spoiler from this place called spoiler depot or something. they pre-painted mine before shipment and the color match is perfect. the lip is small enough it just used VHB tape. it's been on my car over 10yrs, no issue. :D

i was never a fan of that ironing board spoiler of the G35C's. :ugh2:

Someone on here posted about the knockoffs found on ebay. They're $140 shipped and painted. Fit perfectly supposedly also. I'd prefer OEM, but I can justify spending $300+ for a stupid spoiler. I'm just cheap. Money isn't the issue haha. I'll see if he will do $100 shipped.

yah, but note that the weds, like some of the rays wheels, protrude their spoke arch beyond the lip of the wheel. i like that, but some folks dont.

yep, i think it was someone with the blue base who bought the 3rd part one, right? if they were happy with it give it a shot. much easier than trying to fix a broken wing and painting it, etc. i think..

kenchan 02-17-2016 02:04 PM

at least on the 370z's the 3rd brake lamp is on the gate, and not on the spoiler itself. :D

They poke out? Even better!!!!!

And yea, you have good memory. i was looking at this thread. $140 shipped still and painted. I'll just order this instead. Everyone said they were fine and looked stock.

oh yah, lots of newbs tend to scratch up the lug bores on the weds.

make sure you wrap your socket with masking tape. yah i have those plastic sleeved sockets too, but just use masking tape. no need for fancy as they tend to slip off anyway. lol

if my car didnt come with them, i wouldn't have installed them. cleaner lines.

Leingod 02-17-2016 02:47 PM

i mainly just like the front guards. The rears break up the lines I think.

the rears help fill the hole in the well around the rear bumper.. but datz about it. functionally they are pretty useless imho and more more thing to clean after a drive.. lol

i always wipe down the bottom of the rear splash guards cause u can see the dirty from behind.. :ugh:

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:15 PM

u dont want stains like EW on the behind.. :ugh:

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:19 PM

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:19 PM

Leingod 02-17-2016 03:26 PM

I'm just going to get that knockoff spoiler and front splash guards. My poor side skirts are chipped beyond repair already from rocks near the wheel well.

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:28 PM

yah, i bought a 6" (i think it was) roll of 3M clearbra and wrapped my rockers long time ago. had to replace it once already.

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:29 PM

as soon as it gets warmer im going to xpel my STI's bumper too.. not dat i want the car to be dat pretty, i dont want a chipped up fascia..

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:31 PM

which reminds me... i should remove the clearbra off my fit before i sell.. thing should look like new under there.

You're buying a used knock-off spoiler that you need to get repainted for $100? Why not just buy a brand new ebay knock off already painted any stock color for $149 or whatever they are. I know there are a number of people on the forum that were happy with their purchase.

Not saying that I would be ok with it. But some people are.

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:42 PM

yah i think leon is getting the new painted copy spoiler vs the broken factory one dat needz repaint.

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:47 PM

ordered more black mutekis and black locks from mcgard for my prodrives..

those muteki's are pretty darn strong in the salt.. been using a set on my dd for 3 seasons and yes they are slightly rusted on the splines, but not to the point it looks like :icon08: :D

kenchan 02-17-2016 03:48 PM

.. and i only washed my dd once.. :ugh:

.. and my wife hasnt washed her new fit even once this winter.. :rofl2:

It was a broken OEM spoiler off of some guys sport model since he went amuse. I'm just going to get a knockoff for $140 painted and shipped. It's a useless spoiler that offers no functionality. I have no problem with it being a knockoff.

actually i believe they do help with zero lift when combined with the sport air deflector.

Masterbeatty 02-17-2016 04:07 PM

Dood. On the way home, I am two streets away from my place and some dewsh canoe followed me in a Subaru Legacy GT that was riced out. The mofo speeds up to catch me in a 35 zone, then rides my a$$ for a mile through a school zone also. He would also slow down and then speed up right on me as I'm going the speed limit. It took all my might not to stop and yell at this Phuck in the middle of the road. Apparently driving a STOCK BASE 370z means I'm a ricer hoonigan that speeds through residential areas and school zones.

yah, i felt the same driving back home from subaru in my STI when that focus ST or watever the pos fak it waz was wanting to race me.

i truely think that these cars including the Z are for adults where we can control our impulses.. or better yet, dont have impulses to street race from the start. :icon17: faktard kids can go drive into a pole on their own.

I must have missed that you were going the new, painted route ... I was just questioning why you would pay $100 for one that would need to be repainted. Knock off is what it is. The paint job is what I would be more concerned about - I'd prefer a match done by a professional, but at least factory color should be close.

As for the spoiler offering no function, you can just :gtfo2:

Not only is it aerodynamically functional, but it also makes the a$$ end look that much better :yum:

kenchan 02-17-2016 04:13 PM

hey my prodrives are now on its way to me. :p

going to get them wrapped with DWS06 soon. :excited:
