so my sti guy wants to take me out on a test drive..

my lexus subcontractor out of india still no response for a simple question.. :shakes head:

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:25 PM

not to be an arse, but i chose the coldest day of this week to do the test drive.... cause i want to see how stiff the thing is.

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:27 PM

and how good or bad the lexus sounds in the cold temps.. (the non-mark levinson stereo, dat is :rofl2:)

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:30 PM

it would be the first time ever not buying a car for its stereo if the IS's factory stereo sounds like crap. :icon17: im pretty much sold on everything else.

STI, im still not sold on the picnic table but i think i can make up stories like 'wtf is an 'sti' without the big wing, right?' or 'mang, if u drive an sti, youre a whimp if u dont have the picnic table, too uncommitted' or some BS like that. i need to brainstorm these phrases cause its going to be like the guy dat needs to explain to everyone why he just spent $50K on a hyundai. :ugh:

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:31 PM

and u knowz dat is the truth..and they will ask.

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:32 PM

brainstorm wisely.. :icon08:

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:33 PM

my wife can sew a table cloth for those times we go out for picnic in the STI...:ugh:

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:35 PM

cheapest with AT and A/C (versa note).

i see dat a local dealer does have a mirage DE for sale new $10,699 or something with a 1500 cash back. lol thing is buttugly though.

sparks apparently changed shape this year so the 2015 old design also can be had new about the same price.. but i prefer a versa-note at least.. :icon17:

Spark seats are more comfy than the Notes. No cushioning or side bolstering at all in the GF's note. She also has the special edition model which adds BT and other random small stuff.

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:51 PM

the good thing about having a Note is dat it would be the same as my fit. i could careless, so i can park at the extended parking at airports and dont care. datz a good feeling.

im worried dat if i park my sti at the office parking lot, people are just going to come out and start having picnics on the wing and just leave a mess on the trunk. i know this will happen.

huh, i didnt know dat. i like the small foot print of the spark, but i like the note better. :D thanks for the input btw.

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:56 PM

as for BT and stuff, im going to be yanking out the AVH2500BT off my fit before i sell it, so i can install that, if the car has space for a doubledin..

What's the dimensional difference? The Note will haul stuff better. The Spark will prolly maneuver better. The Note has a little pep to it though when floored.

kenchan 02-10-2016 02:57 PM

reason why i want to buy new is i will be giving this car to my older kid when the time comes.. thus a hatch would be better for him to take to college.

Note has double din. I'll check tomorrow when I see the car.
