And I still want to know why my rear brakes are squeaking.

Metal on metal sound? Could just be small amounts of rust from water built up between the calipers and rotors. Does it go away after driving for a bit?

Yeah it's just your typical brakes squeak, however it doesn't happen all the time. It's always after I've been driving 20 minutes or so and usually when slowing down from highway speeds. And it'll only do it once and then about 15 minutes later it'll do it again. I checked the pads when I had it all apart and although they are worn, there's still plenty of life left in them.

I'm thinking it's probably just one of those things. Who know what kinda pads are on there now. Maybe I should just swap them out for good measure.

I'm thinking a little high temp lithium grease on the rotors will quiet things down.

BoneZ 03-03-2016 04:12 PM

But idinno. Last time I lubed my rotors, this happened.
