motored my STI this am, had a good time. gassed it up (not EW style :ugh: ) and cleaned the front end due to bugs.

i started using the meg's cheezy polymer based QD on the STI to remove bugs as the car is using polymer sealant. (ultimate quik detailer, not terrible.. about the same as the maroom bottle as far as lubricity).

washed the rubber mats on the STI and my wife's Fit... and now using carpet mats for the warmer months. :p i much prefer carpet mats for sure. i should look into getting berber mats down the road. :D

Washed the Z and gave it a coat of Four star spray sealant. Took her out for a nice run, breaking necks wherever I went :tup:


John Deere had to photobomb the Z again :icon17:

so for lunch, since my kids had never had panda express, we took them out for a quick bite.

the last time i had panda express was like 15yrs ago? :icon08: orange chicken over chowmein noodles in the bowl size.
kids liked it, but wow, tasted horrible! especially the noodles. waz like instant noodles dat someone strained the water too soon. :barf:

I love that thing! Sometimes when I am really lazy, I will hop on it to go get the mail at the end of the driveway (it is a long driveway, thats my excuse at least lol)

I really do use it a lot during the summer. Hauling firewood, yard maintenance crap around. When I wash the Z I usually use the last bit of soap in the foam cannon on the JD. Give it a quick wash. Funny part is I have a lawn service and I can't remember the last time it actually was used to cut grass :icon17: :tup:

yah, wish my pops had dat when he lived here. i had to mow his lawn every weekend on his regular honda push mower. nice mower but :yawn: i dreaded it.

When growing up we had a push mower from about 1956 and the thing would not die. I prayed it would die but it never did. :mad:

is there such thing as an auto-app launch profile setting when certain BT device is paired on the ios?

for example on android, i had this app which would auto launch google maps when it paired with my pioneer HU on my car. i need something like dat to launch a subaru app when i get into my STI with my iphone.. otherwise i can't launch iheart radio and other native apps on the car. :ugh:

for pandora i have to physically connect the lightening cable to the HU... :ugh: which is a pita in some situations.

Doesnt it work via bluetooth? I thought I had mine working that way. I just always plug mine in and leave it.

it will stream pandora over BT, but ios does not work like android's full feature from HU unless physically connected. :ugh:

but iheatradio works fine (full feature) from the HU just as long as the subaru's app (starlink) is running on my iphone.

i keep forgetting to launch the app before i get into the STI so i have dig out my phone from my pocket just to launch the app..which is imho pretty dumb. :ugh:

i guess since ios completely idles the app when in the background, i suppose i could keep the subaru app open all the time in the background... it wont drain power or anything like on android where apps are running in the background.

If this than that. Good app for making the phone do certain things when other criteria is met.

Example: if connected to subbie HUD, than play music.

yah, for android it is easy to setup such profile, but i dont think there's a way on iOS :ugh:
