Just got back from motoring my Z with my wife. We made a pit stop at an authentic Mexican joint where i had a cheese enchilada, tamale, and a beef chimichanga. The ride home was delightful from both sides of the car.

Masterbeatty 03-25-2016 07:26 PM

Oh and it was foggy too, the backroads of new england in fog always remind me of the sleepy hollow movie.

Yep, my grandma bought those for me from Sears like 20 years ago.

Sounds about right. My wife bought me a mechanics toolbox, the jack stands and a jack. But the jack crapped out and now i have a low profile pittsburgh one now that is good enough.

The jack crapped out on me last year, but I was able to rebuild it.

Masterbeatty 03-25-2016 08:10 PM

The only reason i got the low profile was because i slammed mine and didn't have any ramps yet. Plus it was easier to use at autox events. But i think i am going to make some ramps for the garage since i have a bunch of left over wood.

Mernin' all you sexy sexy Z people. Mmmmm... nice shiny base model brakes. :( Why didn't someone tell me, "hey, make sure you get the sport model now or you'll regret it."

The Clifford diet continues. Thus far, I'm down 6 pounds.

kenchan 03-26-2016 10:38 AM

Motored my Z. Going to QD after a quick break, then wash my STI's engine bay before lunch. :D

Dat a-pillar I painted yesterday looks factory finish. :woot:

Gentlemen, I have the flu. Even after having my flu shot back in November. It has been a fun run, but I shall now go crawl into a hole and die for the next 3-4 days.

Booooooooooooooo!! Bad flu bug, bad! :gtfo2:

BoneZ 03-26-2016 12:58 PM

I keep trying to get these brakes back together, but the weather keeps wanting to wet on me.

You just clean them, or paint? Just think of it this way. You didn't want to get sport brakes for the extra cost since you knew you'd be getting stoptech or something later.

kenchan 03-26-2016 01:44 PM

Yep, I never get flu shots.

I'm painting. And you know you have a good point about the sport brakes.

BoneZ 03-26-2016 02:02 PM

I got one back together. Subtle yet not too pretentious. Just kind of cleaned it up a little bit.

And here comes the rain again. I'm going to go get something to eat.

Leingod 03-26-2016 02:51 PM

That actually looks really good Bone!!! Very subtle and clean. I wouldn't mind a quick DIY on doing it that exact way.

madwi 03-26-2016 03:05 PM

Took the Z out for a nice cruise! ironed out some audio bugs and went back out for another cruise
Speed shined after putting it up in the garage.

Thanks. The rain finally let me finish.

All I did was pulled off the calipers, brackets and rotors. Had to PB Blast the crap out of the rotors, as they weren't feeling up to cooperating. I cleaned everything up with two cans of brake parts cleaner. I painted everything with Duplicolor Caliper Silver Hi-Temp paint. Finally, I had the rotors turned at a shop up here and put her back together. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.
