motored my rc car pretty much all pm today. :D

store in j-land got back to me about these rc wheels i wanted to order in a large batch to go with the batch of tires on the way to me. they were kinda like :ugh: u really going to order that much? yep, placed the order. in the long run i save hundreds of dollars cause the hobby stores here are total rip-offs.

kenchan 12-22-2015 05:56 PM

price of pair of wheels msrp in japan: JPY400 = ~$3.30

lowest price i could find in the usa is $8 shipped.. :ugh2:

the store sold me the wheels at $4.75 shipped.. dat's $6.50 per set (2 pairs) in savings each time.. :gtfo2: and dat's just on the wheels. i got even a better deal on the tires. :p

Close, the position i was in trying to get the wrench around the damn knob. They used loctite blue or something similar, and it was gummy when i took it off.

JARblue 12-22-2015 06:24 PM

My brother in law finally finished up his undergraduate degree in Human Biology from The University of Texas :woot: :vuvuzela:

Poor guy spent most of Thanksgiving break and the week after in the hospital due to an infection in his port (a hole in his chest that he pumps IV nutrition into since his body rejects pretty much any food or drink due to his Crohn's disease). But he managed to coordinate with his professors and get his labs finished after he got out of the hospital and did well enough on his finals to pass his last two courses

yah, they used A TON of threadlock on mine too.. there was no way in hell the knob would come off without damage. at the end i just used a larger oil filter wrench. :rofl2:

but leon got his off by gaffle taping it like a mofo and then using a pipe wrench or something. pretty smart. after breaking 2 strap wrenches i was like fak it. :D
