I considered running extra wiring from the camera to the battery with a switch so I could turn on battery function and leave it running on motion sense mode when I park somewhere sketchy. Maybe I should.

Unfortunately, at that angle, even if the camera were rolling, I'm not sure you would have gotten sufficient video of the incident.

Insurance adjuster wants me to drive over a half hr to a random garage to get a damage quote. Just adding insult to injury. Let me waste a vacation day to appease state farms halfassed rules and pay another freaking deductible for insurance I already pay enough for.
