I think I'm going to go test drive a new 370Z with my wife. That way the salesman can't come with us. Then I'll drive around the corner and swap a bunch of parts with my Z :bowrofl:

Flint is what happens when Detroit pounds 15 beers and spots Cleveland looking all hot and skanky, so he then smokes a little (actually a lot) of PCP to take the edge off and viciously rapes and dishevels Cleveland while at the same time impregnating her. After Detroit leaves to go steal copper from Green bay (the Ned Flanders of cities) Cleveland decides due to her religious upbringing she can't abort little Flint even though she knows the doomspawn she hatches from her stank crevice will surely be the mother of all train wrecks. She also can't give up her crippling crack cocaine addiction which she supplies by giving rim jobs to various other cities (mostly Philadelphia). This crack addiction leads to the birth of the malformed dumpster baby we know today as Flint.

kenchan 01-19-2016 10:38 AM

they fix their lead poisoning water yet?

kenchan 01-19-2016 10:40 AM

so im kinda done with new chassis buying for my RC stuff and was talking to my wife yesterday how im kinda 'done' buying RC stuff other than maintenance stuff to keep my cars running.

she was like 'really?' as if she was disappointed my hobby is slowly coming to an end. :icon17:

not the 'really? :icon08:' speculation face.

kenchan 01-19-2016 10:42 AM

the reason for this is because she likes me inside the house (basement) vs me in the garage (outside). haha :D

.. not dat there is no ip camera in my garage... :icon08: u can even see me in pitch darkness.. sneaking by

kenchan 01-19-2016 10:43 AM

tip toes across garage for no reason..

Leingod 01-19-2016 10:47 AM

What are the chances of hitting 12345 for my rep?

kenchan 01-19-2016 10:49 AM

if u were given a choice for dd.. which would u choose? price is not the concern here..

16' wrx limited
16' wrx sti limited

the reason i ask is because the sti is a superior car, but the wrx has direct injection with lower rpm torque, still plenty quick, i like the 18's on the limited better, and the softer ride due to middle aged j-arse.. and the clutch is softer on the wrx and my left ankle will appreciate dat.

im wondering if i bought the wrx, i would kick myself later for not getting the sti..

Everyone I know prefers the WRX over the STI. It's technically quicker, and offers more creature comforts than the STI. Add a BBK later on in life and it'll be a glorified STI without the coffee table spoiler. A simple Cobb tune and some springs will have it at power and cornering abilities equal to a STI. And like you said. The clutch is way more forgiving and fun to play with than the heavy and clunky STI variety.

kenchan 01-19-2016 10:54 AM

btw, my Z and G will stay no matter wat.

thanks, ive been really toying the idea for the wrx especially since they are still coming in with the JF1 serial numbers (assembled in japan).

the only reason why i would need to get the sti-limited vs standard sti would be to rid dat ricor wing. i hate dat hugearse wing.

and while the sti has a much more intense drivetrain with the 3 lsd's and programmable center diff, i think the dynamic vectoring on the wrx will be plenty for street use? i dont plan on rallying anywhere.. and honestly i will probably just run the car stock.

the wrx limited's interior is nice enough for me with the leather seats. i would just add the nav maybe. $32k or something..

You'd be correct. The dynamic vectoring on the WRX would get you to point A/B without such a harsh riding quality like the STI. For example take the Nismo Z vs the touring. One is raw and meant for the track. The other can be used for daily purposes with creature comforts.

The 40 extra HP in the STi is negligable. I've yet to see any of my buddies 4 WRX's get stuck, slide, or slip through heavy snowfall on stock all-season tires. I have seen a STI take a few moments to get going because of the 3 LSD thing. Pros and Cons to both. But don't just assume the highest trim is better than the middle. For you, personally. I'd go WRX. Especially with your ankle.

kenchan 01-19-2016 11:06 AM

so for sedans here are my choices.. (good / bad)

'16 accord sport 6MT (appearance / ordinary)
'16 wrx limited 6MT (quick / exterior appearance)
'16 wrx sti limited (quick / stiff)
'16 is350 f-sport (appearance / no MT)

at my age, the lexus is more me, but then again i want MT..and if going for dressup i still think my G35C is prettier than the is350's..

njobe89 01-19-2016 11:09 AM

if you need a daily driver i wouldn't go with a subaru. why not go with something cheaper?

cool. yah, i mean the only reason why i didnt get the 09 370z nismo was for the appearance (not my thing) and extra weight vs power increase. the base with sport package were (still are?) out-performing the nismo's.

yah, the 0-60's ive seen on the wrx / sti are pretty similar.. i want the sti badge cause it's top of the line (good feeling), but then im a car guy and i have to go with the car, not so much the badging.

if wrx enthusiasts of today are dat excited about the wrx vs sti, im sure it is true.

Just for laughs. Why not a Volvo S60 Polestar?
Not a sedan, but Ford Focus RS?
Or an Audi S3/4?

Compared to the STI, might as well. A normal brand new STI is 40k without any extras roughly. You coul get a Charger Hellcat for 60k out the door.
