Commute was horrible. Truck drivers drove like asshats and I saw one get pulled over. Then there was a crash on 95 S just as I was crossing a bridge. But I was safe cruising at a swift 55 mph. I hate it when people do what I am going to do here -- that is one-up your commute...

Today -- onsite for 3.5 hours of meetings, drive to XNA, drop rental car, argue with rental car clerk about the dent in the side that I did not put there, TSA happiness (at least I have Pre-Check), hang out at the gate for a while, fly to ATL, enjoy a 2.5 hour layover, hang out again at a new gate, fly to SLC, enjoy a 2.5 hour layover, hang out at gate number 3 for the day, fly to SMF, get a cab, ride home, get barked at by Opie my dog, hug Kate (she will be already asleep), go to bed and count my blessings.

Start to finish today will take 21 hours...

I'm guessing the city had decided some extra money would look good for election year. It's so dumb, we have all this crime here and then we have 8-lane highways with 55 mph speed limits where most of the time traffic goes 75+ mph with zero incidents and then the IMPD gets a bug up their *** to "slow everyone down" (i.e. hand out a shitload of tickets to increase revenue) under the guise of the Mayor's "Action Plan to Keep Our Highways Safer" or some **** like that. :shakes head:
