On a serious note though,

Just found out, our good friend JPKIRK passed away on the 16th, just hearing about it now.. Truly a good guy, gone way too soon. God bless him, and his family. I know he is looking down on us right now.. Jim, you will be missed. Thank you for saving my azz so many times. I could always count on you.

Wait a minute, say what?! Was he ill or something? :( I very much enjoyed his posts and uplifting words in times of need. Definitely someone who should have had more time.

Sad news... My condolences to his family and friends. I never got to meet him personally but he was a great guy on the forum

People say I am a smart person. Sometimes I think I am. Not always. In fact, often it is quite the opposite case.

Take, for example, that I am sitting at the airport in Sacramento and it is 9 PM. I am taking an overnight flight to Atlanta and then on to Northwest Arkansas. I purposely booked it this way. I thought I would give it a shot.

Not smart.

In fact, I have but one thing to say.

Duuhhhh

I try to avoid overnight flights. They're mentally and physically exhausting :eekdance:

In my infinite wisdom, I booked myself on a 5:45am flight today. No idea why.

Reason #1,284 why the Civic sucks.

It takes over 15 minutes for the windows to defrost or suffer the effects of head-on sunlight glare with zero visibility when at stop lights.

Leingod 11-02-2015 07:08 AM

Reason # 3,763 why the Civic sucks.

Takes bumps worse than an Evo with a blown suspension

Leingod 11-02-2015 07:10 AM

Reason #4,612 why the Civic sucks.

The clutch is so light that I'll think I've put it in gear while releasing the clutch and get a grinding noise. I've NEVER had this happen in any other M/T cars. 6 inch travel distance blows harder than 30lbs of clutch engagement.

Leingod 11-02-2015 07:12 AM

Reason $8,917 why the Civic sucks.

It can't take a corner harder than 43MPH without feeling like it'll understeer into the nearest pole because the electronic steering has shyt for feeling in the wheel.

Leingod 11-02-2015 07:14 AM

Reason &3,595 Why the Civic sucks.

A brand new car from 2013 that's "fully loaded" doesn't come with satellite radio.

I am truly sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed his posts on this forum. They seemed to have an energy of their own that I always thought showed his passion for life. He will be missed :(

Rest in Peace, Mr. Jim :tiphat:

Good afternoon from Malta

JARblue 11-02-2015 09:15 AM

I've always wanted to visit Malta :tiphat:

Not really sure why. I just like obscure, small countries. And the fact that it's an island is just an extra

Highly recommend it here. The bus system is awesome. They have a map that tells you exactly what line you need to take to see any attraction. Weather is great, everything is relatively cheap. LOTS of things to do. Everyone speaks English. Wish I was here for more than 3 days but I have to visit the rest of Europe lol

Leingod 11-02-2015 09:38 AM

Trying to figure out what days to take off during xmas. I still have 2 weeks to kill.

Ended up taking the 21st to the 2nd off. Leaves me with 3 days left of vacay to use since the office is closed ex mas eve, xmas day, and NY day. 2 weeks paid vacay with time to spare still! Gotta love it!

kenchan 11-02-2015 10:11 AM

Yah end of yr I'm taking the 2 wks off :D

JARblue 11-02-2015 11:09 AM

I always take the week off between Christmas and New Year's. Of course, I end up spending most of it in the office when we don't have plans. But they are free in case I need them

Leingod 11-02-2015 11:18 AM

I'v never had a job that offered actual vacation time. It's mind blowing to me right now. I was always allowed to take a day off when needed, but nothing consecutive. And I'd be guilt-shamed for that day or 2 taken off regardless. It's envigorating to know I can take days off without any back blast or stress.
