Official total is $2,930. I was pretty damn close. It'll be more once it's in the shop and they're tearing apart the insides.

Seriously....

It's only a 12-14k car. Why bother?

Leingod 10-26-2015 12:37 PM

Trying to remember everything for the Z for storage today.

Top off gas
1 bottle of stabil
Grab stuff out of Z (radar, ez pass, etc)
Car cover
Wheel chocks (Won't use e-brake for that long)
Battery tender
Inflate tires a few PSI past normal
Check mileage to give to insurance
A few dryer sheets in the car
Crack windows slightly

Anything else?

Madwi just put in that fancy Pioneer one. Was about $800 I believe. Newer version is hitting the market in February though.

Moth balls or a cedar stick are also good deterrents for pesky rodents. I wouldn't leave the windows open though, that's how bugs n Sh!t get in there. If anything leave the HVAC system in the draw air from outside mode.

Def no moth balls. I'll grab a few dryer sheets. The place is heated and has tile floors so i'm not worried about bugs. I read to leave the AC in max blast mode or whatever our max AC setting is. Leave the car in 1st gear without the e-brake on. I have some steel wool for the tail pipes.

thanks. yah, im in no rush at the moment, will probably see watz up at CES and decide which one by march. :p

madwi- do you know if your fancy HU uses the same pioneer harness as the previous models like the AVH4500BT?
hoping for a p-n-p, like between my old 4100DVD to 4500BT. :D thing was like a 15min swap.

kenchan 10-26-2015 01:54 PM

i thought mothballs would work too, but it appears they dont work for mice which is our biggest threat during long winters.

kenchan 10-26-2015 01:55 PM

i heard wacking the hood from time to time with a broom stick real hard also works to scare them rats off.. :ugh:

kenchan 10-26-2015 01:57 PM

more rc bits on order  well, just maintenance parts.

as much rc driving i do, things wear out pretty quick... :ugh:

I think the IS300 is more of a joke than the IS250. Why detune the 3.5 just for another trim level. So dumb.

:iagree:

I only roll my driver's side window down like 3 mm just so it will clear if the auto-window-down thing fails due to battery death... Which is no longer a problem really since I got the battery tender.

I don't think the IS350 has enough HP... Then they have the same car with even less HP? :gtfo2:
