dcrew1x 10-28-2009 08:56 PM

wow thats nuts

Mike 10-28-2009 09:50 PM

ridiculous! But what's even more odd, is when the article opened and I saw the bridge, I though, I've been there. Then I thought it was in Mumbai, but no way he would have been there!

They gave him a ticket for doing a demo in a closed-off section of road? What a bunch of morons.

thats what I was going to say. They paid a large sum of money to secure the bridge for themselves and shut it off, and still enforced the speed limit after that?

bullitt5897 10-29-2009 08:28 AM

LOL I thought the exact same way until I thought hey how do governments make money ohhh thats right they steal it from you hmmm.... Still I would like to see a cop chase down david coulthard in his f1 car hehe that would make for interesting news!

He didn't receive a ticket, the city merely kept the deposit the group put down so they could hold the event. It honestly does sound like local corruption, which is common in many parts of the world. Even if he didn't speed, they probably would have found another excuse to keep the money.

kenchan 10-29-2009 10:18 AM

so they're going to buy the city 10 tata's.

elmz 10-29-2009 01:18 PM

Never heard of him...is he a backup driver for Weber and Vettel?

thanks to the ticket he gets publicity, and the indian city gets 10 brand spankin new cars. win win situation.

Jester 10-29-2009 03:29 PM

What's funny is 162 is nothing in an F1 car, could have gone a lot faster if he wanted to. Most of them take corners at a 100+ :eekdance:
