Who the **** has a newspaper laying around these days? Hell I'd have to go buy one for $3 or something. :shakes head:

Windex is OK for glass, so long as you never get it on any kind of plastic or vinyl, or the paint, or um...

OK why not just use diluted vinegar or Glass Plus instead. :ugh2:

i know, i dont even keep flyers in the mail. :icon17:

i hate windex. i dont use it for anything. that blue color dries solid and stains in the nooks. vinegar smells like shitt in the car.
real simple... distilled water and rubbing alcohol mix. that is all that is needed.

kenchan 06-05-2015 11:21 AM

did u eat vinegar potato chips in the car?

no? ohh... :ugh:

Skip masking tape. It shreds to easy. Use electrical tape for the base. i used half a roll to cover the knob completely. About an inch and a half thick on all sides. E tape absorbs pressure better and leaves no residue behind. I then wrapped Gaffers tape over the E tape. Gaffers is just like Duct, but has a grippy texture to it. Works wonders and is primarily used for concerts. Then I just went crazy with pipe wrenches.

Yup. E absorbs impact. Gaffers gives grip equal to a MF towel as other have recommended.

I saw way to many breaking strap wrenches. Figured I'd just go for gold. I wrapped the stalk the same exact way. The MF towel trick "works", but is insanly hard to grip from the towel to the stalk without spinning.

I should do a DIY!!! The people who did it only have it outlined in random threads. Not an actual How to.
