What do I do????? she drives more reckless than I do. Doesn't know 100% how to drive MT, I tried teaching her but gave up because was worried she'll destroy the tranny/clutch

As part of the deal in getting a 2-seater sports car, the Z is my daily commuter and my wife gets to use it on the weekends. It's actually kind of cool, my wife digs the car and gets my passion for the Z.

Gender aside, I wouldn't let someone learn MT on my Z (if it were MT)

My wife learned to drive on my 400 hp Z32 back in the day. The only way she could master it was letting her solo. Sometimes you need to be on your own without pressure to learn. As long as you are insured, go for it.

I'm thinking of getting a beater with MT so she can go nuts

before we got married i told my wife. we share everything equally except the cars. i said, i am really sh!tty about cars. i told her, even your car, will be my car, since i will be the one maintaining it. i told her if she was serious about wanting a sports car that she could have one... that i get to drive. luckily she agreed to the terms.

I can't be gender biased here. My wife is the reason we have the Z. It was her DD for over a year before she got a new job with a really shitty commute in a MT. I've been driving and modding it for nearly three years now :driving:

If you have the sport package, SRM is a great friend to the MT newbs. But first, practice 1st/Rev at length in an open parking lot.

Luckily I live in Tallahassee, where every other red light is on a huge hill. Let the wife drive my Z from the garage to the dumpster and back. Went up and down one hill, unbelted, and told me to drive lol

My wife drove our Z home from the dealer. We both split up time driving it.

I taught my wife how to drive stick on my turbo'd sentra spec v 7 years ago. Now she has only bought cars that are manual. I let her drive my boosted 370z if she wants. When it comes down to it, she's my wife and its a car.
