excel can do a lot of fun and tricky stuff if you know how to write all the formulas needed. i'll be taking a course soon for excel to learn it more. i think it's way easier to find a job if you can put you have advanced excel skills.

Without a doubt! Excel and Access knowledge will get you way farther in life than without. Our company is giving free advanced training classes at a local college in July for Excel. Already signed up.

i have yet to use access but it seems somewhat similar to excel. i'm sure i could get the company to pay for my course, but then i would have to sign a letter saying i'd stay with the company for x amount of year(s)

What the hell? What company does that? Mine pays for any cert I want as long as it's beneficial to them. I could leave tomorrow if needed.

Access does go a long ways though. Not totally like Excel. But makes database management soooo much easier in life.

I think w3schools has a good free program on how to utilize the basics of Access. DBMS really is helpful. I use it to adjust our DC and AC here for the I.T. Dept.
