My father started letting me know that was the plan from about age 5 :rofl2:
He would count down and remind me on my birthday how many years of free ride I had left. :icon17:

yah, for me too, not 18 but 22. i moved out when i was 22 about 2k miles away from home. :icon17: my bro went over 5k miles from home. lol

i do the same for my kids. since very early on (like infant) i keep telling them they need to build their strengths to stand on their own two feet at age 22. we're kicking you out of the house. i will teach you how to be independent, but you're going to have to do it for yourself.

i will not allow men (kids) to live in my house after they finish college. they had 22 yrs to prepare. after that they must prove wat they learned.

They let me stay until 20 when I was able to get a good job and start making some decent money. But I sure had to cough up rent $$ (mom put it aside for apartment costs and a few months rent.)

 tough luv is the way to go with kids. becoming independent for their own good.

i was making a decent living off my first real job in LA. if it wasnt for wife and i deciding to have kids, we'd stayed there for sure. :D

by now, i probably would have a GT-R and a nice condo in rancho palos verdes if it wasnt for kids. im not complaining though
no sense having a GT-R where i live currently.. :ugh:
