Many of my colleagues are Hilton-stayers. I am a Marriott-stayer and have Platinum Elite status. A bunch of us were checking in together and milling about the front desk. When I checked in, the desk clerk said "We have upgraded your room for you, Mr. onzedge™. Thank you for your loyalty."

My Hilton-followers just sort of looked at me as I said thanks. It's a waste. It is just me and I am in a high-floor suite with a balcony and awesome view.
