I've got an itch to buy random parts. And someone pick out a damn knob for me already!! I can't stand bouncing between different styles constantly!!

u like those things? :ugh2:

as for knobs get the TWM. i use the type-r specter on my G and the biggy on my Z. very nice. u will need to make the support rings (inside boot), and finisher unless you get a momo shift boot which comes with the support ring. with the momo shift boot no need to make a finisher.

That just sounds like a PITA to change a shift knob. And reading about how many people ruin the stock knob from the amount of locktite on the grip is making me reconsider also.

You're not a fan of the hood or fenders? I'm def contemplating the CF vented fenders. Makes the car look wildly more sporty "IMO".

Masterbeatty 05-18-2015 09:50 AM

I am counting down the hrs to attend local car show this evening. I will be shmobbing there with a G8 GT w/ 420 whp, and possibly a 800 whp GTR.

Reps have been delivered. I missed a few days so I hope I got everyone back.

Planning to order some XXR750's for the wheels. I dream on owning yours, but $500 a wheel made me cringe a little :shakes head:

Piece by piece for me. Keeps me satisfied and can show progress over time to know the ins and outs of the whole car instead of one lump sum. I love the full JDM look for these cars far more than the Civics upbringings.

And yes, I'm lazy if it requires chewing through a perfectly good (but weird) stock shift knob.

Not a fan of the stock wheels though. The Z looks weird with a lot of wheels people put on personally.

madwi 05-18-2015 11:09 AM

Drove to the body shop steaming mad, manager showed me the piece that broke, small plastic piece that holds the lock/unlock button in place. Whew, nothing serious. He made it sound like the whole ******* handle was ripped out, then dropped and backed over by a 4x4 lol. Told him to glue that POS back into place when done and call it a day.
Wide awake now though, who needs sleep :icon17:

i like the stock 19's, just dont care for the weak offsets they come in. it needs to be pushed out just a hair more. like 15mm front, 10mm rear. thats all that it takes at stock height.
