I really would like to get a new x99 board but car modding has been taking all my funds lol
I will probably settle for a Z97 board though.

Just got with a Z97. X99 is still overkill for real world gaming needs. An i5 4960k cpu will perform better than an i7 4770k since only 2-3 games have used hyperthreading. Ever.

What kind of modem and router do you have? DO you think it's the physical connections or are you just constantly dropping wifi strength?
