They took care of the radio. I also asked them to fix the front bumper and the outside temperature sensor they did not reconnect. The temperature works now, but when I looked the bumper, it was actually worse than when I brought it in :shakes head:

The tech was looking at it with me and says, "the clips are where they are, so that's how it's supposed to fit". Bullfuckin$hit. Look at the other headlight, dip$hit, or any of the other ILX models on the lot. So I convinced them to take another look at it, and sure enough ... they have to order another part because something broke under the bumper. I don't know whether it was completely broken when they did the headlight replacement or just partially broken and they finished it off today when they fixed the temp sensor. Anyway, I had to waste and extra hour of my time (while my lunch at home got cold), and I have to waste more time coming back to get it fixed again. This is exactly why I don't let dealers touch the Z.

:shakes head: sounds like the local f-king subarooroo pos dogdamn mofo garbage dealer.

I had dealership problems when I had an Acura. Car also had a lot of issues. Never buying a Honda/Acura again.

kenchan 04-03-2015 06:01 PM

Yes indeed :ugh2:

Just typical. And honestly, the Honda dealer was more willing to cover $hit for us even over 100K miles than the Acura dealer with a car that is their lease. Also, the Acura is a magnet for idiots and vandals. I just want to drive it around during rush hour and hope that somebody hits me and totals it so I don't have to deal with fixing all the damage before I return it to the dealer :shakes head:

I must be lucky. I recognize the guy who does my car, and the worst I've had was they fit me in on a Sat for an alignment/balance check (warranty) and made me wait about 3 hours. :ugh2:

kenchan 04-03-2015 08:53 PM

2hrs for alignment on these cars is pretty standard so 1hr extra isn't too too bad?

wat i hate is waiting and then service guy tells me they dont have the part to do the work like 2hrs later.
wtf u are a dealer, no? :shakes head: this is why i hate dealers.

kenchan 04-03-2015 08:54 PM

im happy to report my dealer has not seen my G in over 9yrs, my Z in over 5yrs. lol

Good evening Mr.Clifford :hello:

My car left the bodyshop today. We are waiting on my brakes, and need to get the wheels and tires mounted up. The people at BulletProof Automotive are loving the new look.

22 days to go until I'll be able to see where all my hard earned $$$ went and meet several forum friends. I'm most excited about meeting everyone.

Great news to read tonight Mr Jason,

It must be a tough one being so far away from your pride and joy -
artwork in motion. We all wish you the very best and Yes,...... 22 Day's
left. Sorry to everyone but I have been on the road in meetings.
Next stop Spokane, Washington.

2 hours?!? I've never had it take more than 45 minutes. Granted, I always call ahead to make sure they're empty (10 am on weekdays is usually good). This is at a NAPA store where I have a 5 year alignment agreement. I get one a few times every year just because I can

Yeah dealers suck. The Acura dealer said they needed to replace some clips for our bumper (they broke them). I'm like ok, why are you telling me? Go fix it and give me my car back. 15 minutes later service guy comes back and tells me they have to order the parts. WTF ... you don't have clips in stock? Apparently these clips are molded to a part behind the bumper, so that whole part has to be replaced. Oh and they don't keep this part around because no one ever breaks them is what they told me ... until my car, which doesn't make me feel better :ugh2:

Saw the Eric Tessmer Band again tonight. Awesome set! Over two hours long with a 25 minute blues/rock instrumental where Eric walked through the audience tearing up the guitar for about half the song

They're opening for Dick Dale on Monday night. Definitely going to that
