Blind spot detector

Well I discovered today that my cheapo Cobra radar detector has a new feature. It detects blind spot detectors on other vehicles. I noticed this flying down the toll road as I was approaching a new Tahoe in the right lane. As I got closer my detector just went batshit and I saw a little yellow light in the drivers mirror of the Tahoe light up as I passed. Has anyone else with a radar detector noticed this?

Time to upgrade!

Aren't Cobra kind of known for including radar frequencies that are not even used by any law enforcement agency in their detectors? They brag about ridiculous 15 band detection, when only 4 bands are necessary and everything else is just going to be a nuisance.

I have never noticed this with my Escort detectors and I have spent time in front of Infiniti Q50s with automatic cruise control. If anything were to falsely set off a radar detector, that'd be it.

If you do upgrade, I'd suggest an Escort model w/ GPS, they'll learn false positive locations and block them out without any effort on your part.
