You have a link to that? That's because it's not true.

dcrew1x 11-07-2009 07:37 PM

I paid $2.72 for 93 premium the other day here in Georgia. I wonder what it will be when I move back to California: probably more and only 91 premium :(

Zsteve 11-07-2009 08:51 PM

Think I paid $2.64 a gallon on a military post in GA.

j.arnaldo 11-08-2009 12:47 PM

Update: Down here, still stable at $2.69/gal (93 ROZ/RON).

I'm filling up at the shell across from Food Lion in Grovetown. They're usually pretty cheap (still a few cents above AAFES) and I drive by that station more than I do Gate 1.

Paid 2.73 for 93 V-Power at that Shell 2 days ago.

Related issue: Does the "oxygenated" Shell commercial convince any of you guys? I'm sticking with Texaco (Techron), based on the old adage: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Techron keeps those spark plugs, valves and combustion chamber nice'n'clean.

jookiyaya 11-08-2009 01:06 PM

about 50 a month

2.98 a gallon for shell 93(like the only real 93 octane gas you can get around here anymore) I play the "will it hit $50" game. I think Saudi Arabia is the largest producer of oil in the middle east we invaded the wrong spot.

You might think that's a "nice post", I think it is insane. We "own" Iraq? LMAO! The oil infrastructure was destroyed, you can't pump oil through pipelines that get blown up whenever we aren't watching...any one of you experts looked at the Iraqi oil production numbers and compare 'em to what they were before the US bumbled it's way in? :gtfo2:

370Zsteve 11-09-2009 05:52 AM

Back on topic:

93 Octane, Norwalk CT $3.15
93 Octane, Greenwich CT $3.42

That's self-serve, btw.

vipor 11-09-2009 10:07 AM

Around the Houston suburbs that ring Beltway 8, I fill up approximately every 7-8 days. In Brazoria or Galveston County lately, it's been around $2.66-$2.70. In Fort Bend County, it's around $2.75-$2.80. In the city, I've seen anywhere from $2.70 (shady stations) to $2.99 and everything in-between. Not bad for a major metro area, but Houston has always enjoyed some of the best prices in the country.

MindFusion FX 11-10-2009 11:43 PM

so what do most of you spend per fill up?

alan93rsa 11-11-2009 11:59 AM

To clarify: 'Some of' does not mean 'the cheapest' which would point to a single source.

RAZ76 11-11-2009 06:52 PM

$2.71 for 91 in Oklahoma City.

StLRedrider 11-13-2009 05:07 PM

Update on P.R. prices: It recently went up to $2.73/gal., 93-octane gas. What gets to me is that some guys here actually report a reduction in the price of gas in their area! What's with the "go up"/"go down" bit BY GEOGRAPHIC AREA?! Seems to me some of us are being conned by gas stations/distributors! Rats!

A lot of it can have to do with where it is import to (which part of the country). In Texas we have a huge chunk of the refineries for the US so it all comes here mostly, we process it and transport it out. Our gas prices are lower because of the almost zero transport cost. Other issues could have to do with if different parts of the country have different tax rates or "fees." Not sure how things are in P.R.
