Did we do better on the second?

Followed some advice on the second try, let me know what you think!
Eibach lowering springs, white headlights with landing strip LEDs, interior LEDs, carbon fiber mirror caps with LED turn signals, yellow calipers, and 20" Lexani wheels (10" wide in rear) |
ehh 2nd try for what? not feeling the wheels or the yellow caliper... but looks nice... i would have done no landing strip w/ a shaved headlight but to each their own...
|
Yellow calipers are fine, just not lovin the wheels.
|
Not big on the wheels. I think you should give us a price range next time and let us show you some options. :)
|
Lol there's nothing wrong with it. To each his own. But the majority of people on this board, are ethusiasts who are big on functionality vs. show.
Now if you're trying to build a car to lure in an ethusiast, then we can probably help out in that department. |
I prefer the performance mods to cosmetics myself, but I'm selling cars in Jackson Heights, Queens NY. It's all about the show here. Most enthusiasts in NYC are working on cars a few years old, not new out of the box!
|
For your location I think it is perfect. More people in your area want the chrome and flash. I don't think you'll have it very long.
|
Looks nice. Needs some spacers though. Other than that it should sell soon.

Looks good, but you need me powdercoating your calipers ;)
|
I think it looks good fwiw. I have a white Z, and would probably go with a blue caliper because I feel it would compliment the white better. I actually like the rims, I wouldnt buy them because I would hate having to clean the rivet things, but they look nice

So... could we see the next one with custom Adidas paint job, matching track suit, and a year's worth of Jagerbombs? ;) |

Here's a pic with the top up. We used an Eibach pro-kit. The car drove really nice, I was kinda surprised!
|
Looks good in that shot!

I live 30 minutes from that area and I do not see ugly z/g's like that. :ugh2: |
Price is a bit extreme!
|
Better than the last one though :)
|
Painting the ugly base calipers is a bit weak IMO. Obviously you are trying to keep the cost down as adding an extra $10K to an already $40K car would be a tough sell, but for base calipers I would only paint them black or silver. You don't really want to highlight the fact that the car has base brakes. Installing a BBK would be very cool but would add too much to the cost.
|
I like it better than previous attempt except for the yellow calipers, i would have stuck with black but thats my opinion and we all don't have the same tests. Wheels are a toss up. However definite props for being a dealer that attempts to add a little something different to draw some attention.

it appeals to a segment of any locale I am sure - I am from their area, I'd never drive a car that looked that way, I have no customers who's cars look that way |

PS there's a big difference between st james and jackson heights, I'm sure you realize. |
absolutely - you have to cater to your demo
I wouldn't worry about impressing random people on a forum - when a car is modded, it's always subjective. If your customer is giving you a positive reply and the cars are turning over, that is really all that matters |
this car was at the NY auto show lol it was for sale

are those Lexani LX-15? That was my first choice when I started rim searching for my z, although this is the first time I've actually seen a pic of one w/ Lexani rims. I had created some on the lexani website, except the were all black except the lip/bolts/center cap. I also like the way they look, not sure that it will sway me away from Venaci VS124's though.
