Can someone in Japan do me a favor?

Can someone check the price of the clear (JDM to us) tail lights at the dealership?

Thanks in advance!
Andrew

You willing to pay $2,000? If so then, I can run check with Nissan. There's a Nissan BLUE near my place.

Some of the vendors on the forums have them for about 650-700 usd

triggaZ 06-30-2012 07:44 PM

That must be price each. That's good because the yen is kicking the dollar's ***.

Conversion + dealship sale + shipping = very expensive.

DEpointfive0 06-30-2012 09:36 PM

They're $700 here in the states for both... I'm just REALLY curious to know the actual price in Japan

Why would dealership sale have anything to do with a purchase from a vendor? They're not purchasing it from a Japanese dealership. They're getting it shipped from manufacture which is priced completely different. Then they sell it at their own markup.

The yens price has been fluctuating since February. I don't see how it's kicking anyone's *** right now.

Did we have any updates on this? Anyone in Japan willing to trade US lights for JDM lights?

I don't think JDM lights are ALL clear, just some models or some Nismo models... I have a guy that will sell them cheaper than anyone else, then you can install those and sell your OEM ones :hello:

あのクリアリヤコンビランプはディーラーオプション扱いで、95,575円位かと。
値段も高いし、別に人気のあるパーツでもないよ。値段の価値無し。

Yikes! That's around $1200.

I know this doesn't answer the OP's question about the actual price in Japan but for people who are looking to swap them here's 3. Just takes 5 seconds on google. Enjoy...

Exactly. conversation + Nissan + shipping = around $2k. My friend can always get really cheap prices for jdm/usdm parts if anyone needs anything.

I wrote about it here: http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/...modernization/

Thanks guys. I actually bought them out the door for a bit less than $700
I was just curious

SmallermouseZ 12-13-2012 04:45 PM

price seems weird.

kuriz32 12-13-2012 10:14 PM

OEM parts in Japan are more expensive. The same part from the US can cost double or triple in Japan. Margins are higher and there's no price competition in Japan because dealerships are manufacturer owned.
