Hi everyone! Just got my Z about a month ago and love it! It's a black on black base 6MT. Then on labor day, somebody backed into the front end in a parking lot! Nobody got hurt, but still...

I just dropped it off today to get the front bumper fixed, should get it back by the end of the week.

Pics are from my phone.

Oh man! Sorry this happened to you. This is something I worry about all the time, especially when I see people pulling in and out repeatedly and can't judge their vehicle's size. I've been mentally preparing for it which is sort of sick, but people just don't pay attention to what they are doing.

I hope atleast they are paying for it or did they not stay at the scene..

Yeah I hope you don't have to foot the bill of that one. That'd be utterly ridiculous.

Hope you enjoy it when you get it back on the open road :)

yeah delivery day for my Nismo I had a scratch on the side of my spoiler from a pine cone, and paint was coming off the sides of the front and rear bumper. Then I tinted the windshield and I got a chip in it on the way home from the tint shop lol. All of the above has been fixed, but man I left the new car feeling quick with all that crap.

Sadly, I bet the responsible party didn't stick around. Most accidents that occur on parking lots, especially (sorry mate) back-up fender benders like that, responsible looks around, and if nobody saw it bolts. Dealt with it far too many times at work, thats just reality. Check with the business, though. They may have surveillance of it, if their cameras aren't too shoddy. It'll go well with your insurance report, assuming your deductible is cheaper than the repairs.

the guy stuck around, it happened while i was in the car honking at him. his insurance is paying for everything and they haven't given me any problems yet.

Gotta hate it when that happens, then. Happened to me in my first car as well; and someone was behind me so I couldn't back up, steady blaring the horn, and then the sickening "crunch" followed by the oblivious moron exiting the vehicle and looking at you in wonder as if you had invaded his personal bubble.

Some people are so damn oblivious when a horn is being honked at them. Nobody takes cell-phone laws seriously in S. Cali. I guess the $20 fine that ultimately adds up to $100 isn't steep enough? I'm not implying that the guy was on the cell phone, but people nowadays are so preoccupied when driving that they don't live in the present. :shakes head:

Agreed, Edee. And really, the more states that pass anti-texting laws, it seems the more people are bound and determined to do it that much more. Despite the facts, despite the news articles and interviews with these fool teenagers, they still do it. Check this, one interview quotes a girl saying if she's riding passenger she refuses to let the driver so much as look at the phone, but when she's driving she just can't stop texting.

Hypocrite much? But its a fact, and I get to deal with that sad fact every day. Too many accidents too easily avoided.
