Sup guys? I've been on the forum for a while now just never introduced my self. My name is Dom and as mentioned I'm the subject I'm from Brooklyn NY.

I'm currently the owner of this 2011 maxima

but I fell in love with my boy's Z while visiting him in Cali that I've been thinking of parting out and purchase a '14 Z (nismo or touring/nav/sport). I would probably wait until winter ends - no point in getting a new car w the amount of snow and cold weather we are supposed to get this winter.

I'm open to hear any suggestions as far as which model you all prefer and if it's worth spending the extra $ for the nismo edition, etc. I plan and doing some cosmetic and performance mods right away.

Glad to be here and hopefully I can say soon enough that I'm a proud owner of a Z.

Dom

Thanks Ken. I've been searching several dealers by me but none seem to have either options. As soon as I find one that its in stock - I'll go ahead and schedule a test drive. Thanks so much for the info.

Same. I'm there every weekend. Hit up Joe Clem at Koeppel Nissan. He'll find you the exact car you want at a great price.

A few exits away from you on the Belt Pky.

A long time ago, when there was much less traffic/cars/people, I used to drag race on Cross Bay Blvd.

A quick update... So my maxima is back to stock :( sadly enough I miss it - but better things are coming soon!

In the meantime, I've already started purchasing a few mods for the Z that I dont own yet haha... Decided that I'm going to go with the base/sport so I can get the best bang for the buck and truly make it my own.

Here is what I've purchased so far:

Kenwood DNX9990HD In Dash Radio, Sirius XM receiver and all the addt'l wiring to tap into the OEM backup camera.

I'll be installing my BBK w/ drilled/slotted rotors that I purchased for the max (love the way the blue pops instead of the red caliper)

I already have wheels for the Z as well. Bought my boy's Forgestar F14s in bronze. All I need is a set of coilovers and I should be good for a couple of weeks after I get the Z. Lots of more mods to come though! Cant wait!!!

DOM_370z 02-14-2014 01:21 PM

WOO - I get to pick up my Z tomorrow morning!!

 can't wait to see another brooklynite Z on the roads!

Which dealership did you end up going to?

DOM_370z 02-14-2014 01:45 PM

I ended up going with DCH Freehold Nissan, I got a deal at 1000 under invoice thanks to my cousin who is a manager there.

I cant wait to see it in person haha i've been so anxious all week. When are we getting a few people together for a quick welcoming meet? ;)

enkei2k 02-14-2014 02:35 PM

awesome! glad you got a good deal.

I'm down for a meet whenever the snow and ice melts from my driveway lol.
