Unless you pay for a membership, I believe the system probably looks at the amount of posts that you have and base's the name off that. Also rep points may have an effect.

Start posting away if it bothers you!

More posting will change it as a base member, or you can spend $15/yr and get an orange name and the ability to change it to say something stupid.
