New owner, from WRX to Z
 

Hey guys, I traded in my WRX and bought my Z a few months ago! I always loved the Z, but due to living in the north and commuting to school, I went with the WRX. The Subaru was great, but the interior was cheap and rattled like a tin-can over any bump. Even though the car was really quick, it didn't feel like a sportscar, and it definitely doesn't look as good as the Z. I don't have the Z broken in yet, but from what I can tell it accelerates quicker than my WRX, and completely out-handles the Subaru. Overall, I'm extremely happy and the Z definitely feels like a true sportscar. I don't have any mods yet, but my Ark exhaust is supposed to be here in a couple days and I can't wait to hear the sound of the VQ! Here's some pics:

Welcome and Enjoy. No flies on WRXs but they do kinda lack in the solid feel department.

Thanks everyone, and yeah, I love black cars! The Z is the base model with the sport package and a six speed. My WRX was the limited model so it had leather, HID's, fogs, and a "premium" stereo. Not ragging on subaru, but you will never hear a crappier stereo than the impreza system. I have access to another car for the winter, so I don't think the Z will go out in the salt/snow.

Oh please. My 04 didn't even come with a radio at all. ;-p

Welcome! :hello: i made the same switch from a wrx('04 in my case) to a pearl white sport package '13. Ive noticed a few people here that have or had subarus also(guess we all have good taste :happydance:).

Definitely agree with you regarding how quick the Z is and how well it handles.

Always have been a subaru fan, but im completely in love with my Z!

Welcome! I like scrolling past the WRX and seeing it morph into the Z. Nice sort of in-line upgrade for ya!

You could always try it in the snow, but I'm with you. Even if it handles fine, it's the salt and junk that will age the car that I don't want.

Welcome. Too bad you had to get rid of the WRX. Should have kept them both! I just got a brand new '13 WRX for the winter and DD, since the Z is a weekender. There's really no local meets in cleveland, except for Cars and Coffee the 1st and 3rd sat of the month. But with more people from cleveland area it seems, maybe we can get something going.

I had come from an 05 sti, to an 04 touring 350z 6-speed.
Loved the looks over the subaru, but i missed the brembos and awd (bad run in with guard rail:( ). So i played it safe a while in a fx35, untill a month ago when i got a 2013 370 6-speed with sports pkg. Finaly a 'z' that handles and looks great!!!

yeah i love my '11 WRX. base model, absolutely ****-tastic radio, sounds like a tin can after a bump...and still makes me grin like an idiot when i drive it around.

although i need to figure out how i managed to crack my windshield washer fluid tank. that was really weird, nothing else looks damaged but i have no washer fluid :(
