Good evening....new member....first post...and already with a question !!

I'm am on the cusp of buying from a dealer (Nissan) a 2009 Nismo, less than 1900 miles so it's basically a new car.....here's the catch....... it's a 'Nissan Buy back' from the original owner. The claim was a brake actuator problem that he claims was never resolved. The dealer changed it and insists that it is fine, i drove it and could not detirmine any problem.

The car will be title as a 'lemon law' re-sale........is that something I should be leary of ?? Given the 31k price that I can have it for along with two years left on the 3/36000 mile warranty and it's absolute new condition i'm all but ready to jump.

All comments / suuggestions are appreciated

Re-sale value. That's about it.

If you plan to sell it in the future ever, it might be tough with that on the Carfax report. Although, I'm no expert on the matter, so maybe someone else would know better....

if you plan on keeping it then go for it! enjoy and drive safe!

Think it through. If you plan on selling the car eventually, I'd say stay away as a few already have. Nobody will want to buy a previously "lemon" car. The other concern would be that if the dealership couldn't resolve the issue 4 times in a row for the previous owner, why would they be able to after buying the car back? I wouldn't want to take that chance.

Spend a few bills more and get a slightly pricier clean title vehicle and you will enjoy it worry and stress free for a lot longer.

Agreed,........ I told dealer today and got my $500 dollar deposit back.......while I'll never get an 'A' titled Nismo for 31k, I will remain paitient !

Selling a car in that price range seems too hard IMO. Your resale value is going to go way down.. I know I wouldn't have bought a car that anything like that on the car fax.

I saw an 09 Nismo with 5500 miles going for 29k like 2 weeks ago. I'm sure you'll find another one.

Good decision. Better a small disappointment now, than a possible big one down the road.
