Driver for Nissan, changed my perspective

So a friend hooked me up with a side job as a transporter for Nissan, so basically I'll drive cars between dealerships when they want to do swaps or take a car when there's an outright sell. I've driven all the Nissan's except for the Titan, Leaf, GTR :yum:, Versa, and Cube.
During the 2 hours I had with a white 370z, it made me not want to get out of it. It was great. I didn't abuse it since it was going to be in the hands of a customer who bought it the same day but I did drive it a little spirited to test out the engine through the powerband. Like Fifth Gear said, "Pick a gear, any gear," the mudafuka pulls. Although the rear visibility is pretty bad, as people say, and the specific 370z I drove seemed in need of an oil cooler, I think the car is great.
For a while, I've been wondering what would be my future car. It has to be a sports car with ~300hp. It was a debate between the Evo, STI, 370z, G37. I was on the G37 for the longest time, after I got off the high from the Evo. The G37 comes off as a grown man's car, yet still is capable of being driven like a sports car. I just wasn't completely satisfied with the overall body design and interior. It just didn't scream at me. I wasn't into the 350z since it just looked like a bubble to me. But then the first time I laid eyes on a 370z in my college campus parking lot, with its big wide *** and fenders, I think I mouthed "dayumm." It looked like an aggressive widebody 350z.
The only other Nissan that comes close to the Z, besides the GTR, is the Maxima. That big *** sedan is a sedan that does not handle like one and that is the main props I give it. It's big but powerful and nimble.
As much as I'd like to have what I call my Big Four list: R34, Supra, RX7, and NSX. They are becoming more and more like legendary cars that are not practical in owning unless you are that fanatical about owning one of them or just straight ballin. I find them to be ageless masterpieces but spending the same amount on them for what can buy a brand new Z is a tough call.

Long story short, I'm getting a 370z in a few months time to replace my Integra. I've been cruising around this forum and I feel that it's great. I like AK370Z's well-done detailed walkthroughs on his mods and so forth. I'm in the market for a white 370z with sports package with pretty much what AK370Z has with amps/subs on top. I feel that the people selling their Z's on this forum are credible and trustworthy, much more so than finding one on craigslist, ebay, or a dealer in most cases since you have a chance to get to know the members, see what they've done to it along the way, and less haggling.
Vroom :eekdance:

Welcome. Hopefully I'll get my Z before you. :) :) I have to agree with you about the forum. These guys know their stuff, most have a terrific sense of humor, offer great walkthrough installs, honest opinions even when the debate gets heated, help out when they can, and don't mind us non-Z guys hanging out and spamming the board [me]. :)

haha i'll race you to getting a Z then. and given the right location, we'll have a Z to Z race down the line

Welcome and get that Z! You're right about the people here. There are always a few who don't get it, but the vast majority here are good people and willing to share their knowledge, thoughts and opinions all the while keeping a sense of humor. Again, welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you in a 370Z soon!

Hope you plan on racing at a track because street racing is against forum rules. Have fun and be safe; keep us posted with the Z, friend!

This is true - I bought a Z from someone's listing on here very recently and am now waiting for the title! It was a fair price for a 2010 and everything went smoothly so far. The car is almost 200 miles away and I can't wait. Good luck

I have a feeling you'll beat me. I'm thinking May at the latest and it's driving me crazy. :) I'll meet you at the track when I do though.
