Hey guys,

I have been lurking around here for awhile, I believe my dad was a member on here although I don’t think he was active.

He bought a 2017 base model in November of that year.

Cars and bikes were a passion that we shared and I was super surprised when he bought a Z because outside of the old Datsun 240’s we had never really discussed them.

In January 2019 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and ended up passing away 2 months later.

I had the car paint protected and ceramic coated and I’ve barely driven it since, it has under 5000km on it.

I think I am about ready to start wrenching on the car and enjoying it some more. I plan to swap in a wavetrac diff. I would like to pick up some v1 Nismo wheels and maybe black out the headlight surrounds.

Then I’ll be buying the top gunz air to air supercharger set up.

My previous experience is all Honda and turbo subraru stuff as well as working on my truck and boat.

I’ve already read a tonne on here and appreciate having access to such a sweet resource.

Welcome!
Given the background in the photo of your dad's Z, one can tell that it's a powerful machine. You don't even have to hook it up to all those power lines to get it going fast. :-)

I'm in my mid-60's, already had my cancer experience and hope that my kids enjoy my two 370Z's and many motorcycles when I pass into eternity.

First off, I'm sorry for your loss, wherever your father is may he rest in peace.

Secondly, welcome to the forum! It's a very tight knit family and everyone is ready to offer advice with their vast knowledge and wisdom. Keep an eye in the Canada section, I and other members often plan meet ups and it would be great to have you come out and put faces to the names you see here.

Cheers and I hope you enjoy your stay bud.

My dad had just turned 60, I’m glad your cancer experience has had a better outcome! It’s a bitch of a disease.

Thanks for the welcome people! I’ll check out the Canadian section.

Where in Ontario are you? I'm in Milton. I saw that someone was talking about a meet-up this summer. Not sure if it's gained any traction. I'm not typically the meet-up type but thought about it this year as I'm looking for any excuse to get out.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry for your loss. It’s extremely cool that you can drive the car your father loved. Take care of it and enjoy it!

Check the Canada sub section regularly. We meet up in Markham, Mississauga, Vaughan and North York. I try to rotate the meeting spots to keep it fair for everyone.
