Newish Z Owner

Hello fellow Z enthusiasts! My name is Jon and I currently live in So Cal but as of friday I will be residing in Nor Cal. I bought my Z about 2 months ago now. I didn't realize until now that my registration had gone through on the site! Brand new off the lot. 2015 sport model in black. Few days later i ordered the AAM true dual 3" with titanium tips. I am sure i will get some slack for that however when researching all the exhaust tones for weeks before buying my car that was the set up i liked the most that was in my price range. exhaust has been on car since about 2 weeks after i drove it home.

Already checking out other upgrades. However that will be put on hold as my girl and I are building a new home in Nor Cal, thus the move

I have always loved the Z cars and when the 350 came out I lusted hard over that car. But couldn't afford it. So at the time I ended up with a Cobalt ss/sc. And I know there will be some haters on it, but that was a nice car for the price. I had a ton of fun with it. But traded it in for the Z and haven't looked back since!

Well I look forward to getting to know everyone and picking each other's brains when it comes to modding!

Talk to AAM about sponsoring some dyno runs.

As far as I know, there isn't a dyno sheet showing the gains of a 3" exhaust on a NA

hmm not a half bad idea. however i didn't do any previous dyno runs with the car to compare apples to apples.

also I am a bit upset with AAM. when i received the exhaust kit it looked alright, but when we went to install it at the shop i saw the titanium tips were bent. i took pics and sent an email to them about it and got no reply.

I have fixed the tips myself and they look damn near perfect but was just upset that they never even got back to me with anything. i had planned to do full intake/exhaust with their products too

My bad, I missed the part where it was already installed.

Sucks that the tips are bent. Our forum guy at AAM doesn't work there anymore unfortunately. They have another guy, but no one will replace Khoi

yea it was on almost right away. didn't wait at all to put that bad boy on

Where in Nor Cal are you moving to?

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the Z!

I have the AAM 3" short tails as well on my Z with stock headers, cats, and pipes still; gives it a nice growl with the muffler delete.

Although with coming into a bit of money at the casino the other night, I really want the full ARK exhaust system now. Talk about loud? lol

Enjoy! and Happy modding! Congrats on the move to norcal too!
