Oregon First time Z Owner

Hi All,

This is my first 370Z. I bought it used with 10k miles.

I've owned two Mustangs, a mock Boss, 2007, Grabber Orange with 4.6. Also, a black 2014 5.0. I modded the heck out of my Ponies. Traded Black Beauty for my Z. Was hard but I'm having a blast.

Mods I know of are Sports Package, Stillen CAI, Stillen exhaust, Swift lowering springs, powder coated black 19" Nissan wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/40, 275/35 ZR tires. Previous owner did a lot of work. Dyno result after mods is 324.54 hp and 261.80 torque at the wheels. Is this looking good for these mods please?

So far I've added a new stereo system; Kenwood 891 with HSK 165, 6.5 speakers, JL Audio 8" sub and 700 watt, 5 channel JL amp. Also added PWJDM Shift Knob, which has really made driving fun.

Also, have Status GT-X Racing seats on order in black and gunmetal grey suede leather with white stitching.. And custom racing wheel; flat on top and bottom in black leather/suede with white stitching.

If anyone can see something non-stock in my picture please tell me, I'm not sure of everything modded yet.

I'm having a blast, learning curve compared to Mustangs but this car is amazing. Eventually I want to SC I think to about 500 hp.

Anyway, hello everyone...I jabber a lot, sorry :driving:.

Congrats and welcome! :tiphat:

I, too, switched to a Z after having owned Mustangs for years (decades, actually) and am MUCH happier now.

Congratulations!!! Welcome to the club.

I came really close on taking delivery of a brand new Boss 302 (Competition Orange ) back in 2011. I still think about what could have been. Tell me what I missed.

The straight up power of the 5.0 engine is incredible. I had a 4.6 orange Mustang that cornered very well for a Mustang, but the ride of so stiff. My 5.0 had close to 3k put into it for cornering and it just came close to the Z in cornering.

I miss the raw power, the sound. I have Stillen exhaust I'm planning to replace with AAM Short Tails, I just love the deep muscle sound. I'm amazed Nissan get this much HP out of this engine. Very impressive, and the Z times stand up to the 5.0 very well. In corner, no contest, Z by a huge margin. I want to supercharge up to about 500 HP, then, oh my :bowrofl:.

Welcome on board, local Z owner from Hillsboro OR, but I work towards Wilsonville. Enjoy the car, come to Cars and Coffee off the I-5 Nyberg exit if you can, not a lot of Z's show up.

Welcome. Make sure to post pics of those seats when you get them installed. Sounds like it will be a nice upgrade.
