Beware of Intense Power

*Caution*

Beware of Intense Power...

I ordered over $3k in parts from them on Sept. 24th and they only had 1 piece in their warehouse and everything else was going to be dropshipped. Well today is 10/05/09 and NOTHING has arrived and they don't answer their phones or return calls or emails. They have NEVER provided any tracking information and they are a very shady organization and I recommend that you NOT purchase from them as it seems that they don't have their sh*t together. What type of business advertises their phone number, but never answers the phone? My contact over their has been Pete and he's failed to respond to me with tracking numbers after I was guaranteed by him that I would have those tracking numbers last Thursday (Oct. 1). I will be reporting Intense Power not only to the BBB and making everyone aware of their business practices, but I will also be filing a fraud case with the local police departments as well as the state of Arizona.

To conclude...buyer beware when purchasing from Intense Power

FuszNissan 10-05-2009 02:18 PM

I agree that Pete isn't the best at communicating, but your stuff will arrive.

11 days(!?) is that all you've waited. I may not be the brightest bulb on the string, but it seems to me that ordering something that is not in stock "will" take a little longer. But 11 days? In my very humble opinion, I think you should afford the supplier a wee bit more time. If it was 3 or 4 months.... then I would be pissed. But 11 days hardly constitutes this "travisty" you've described.

:twocents: (please don't flame too hot)

370book 10-05-2009 02:36 PM

I am not affording them anymore time especially since it was being dropshipped the same day and it was "promised/guaranteed" to arrive by Oct. 1

There is something that you may not be aware of. "Sh*t" happens. Delays here and there along the chain do add up. I feel for you man.

kenchan 10-05-2009 02:44 PM

if the store gave you a promise date then they have to abide by it.
if that was an estimated date then you have to take some risks.

if all fails, cancel the order and order from elsewhere. even try
japanparts.com they can find parts that are not in their store
front and quote. ive bought a lot of stuff from them in the past
and they have been pretty good.

nogoodname 10-05-2009 02:52 PM

delays happen, 11 days is not a reason to spam the forums

if they ignored u for a week, thats a different story.

so what did u order?PM me and i'll direct to the good vendors and cancel ur order with IP

LiquidZ 10-05-2009 02:57 PM

Talk to Caravan about a real delay haha.

11 days is not long enough to justify your actions imo.

Try 116 day wait, only to get wheels that looked like a monkey powdercoated them...

Don't get me involved...I did my job....I powdercoated 'em!

:roflpuke2:

shabarivas 10-05-2009 04:11 PM

hey caravan - got any pics of the powder job?

Caravanshaka 10-05-2009 04:12 PM

well, there are a few on my pinstriping thread, showing the difference in a satin and gloss finish between 2 of the wheels. The other issues I found after they were mounted I haven't photographed yet...

Hate to add this but I waited a little over a month for my Berk HFC from Intensepower. Why? Because my billing address and shipping address didn't match. Sounds like a legitimate reason right? Not quite when they didn't even notify me of this at all, in addition to withdrawing my money on the day of the order.

I had to be the one to constantly track somebody down at IP because they didn't reply my e-mail or answer my phone call for 2 weeks. Believe it or not, I finally got in touch with someone through their AIM support. In addition to that, I was getting extremely frustrated as their CSR on AIM took literally 30+ minutes to answer one question. I had several, you do the math.

Unless you live out in the boonies, I'm going to be doing my business locally.

Snakes709 10-05-2009 04:34 PM

This thread is fail. When i ordered a 4 into 1 header, 3" downpipe with a 02 extention for my wideband and a 3" magnaflow exhaust for my cobalt i was told it would be 3-4 weeks...i had it within 4-5 weeks (took 1 week longer due to them not knowing if i wanted the ceramic coating or not, but they tried to contact me, i was in the field)

HAVE SOME ******* PATIENTS AND STOP MAKING GHEY THREADS!

BerkTech 10-05-2009 04:57 PM

I hate waiting for parts just as much as the next guy but 11 days is well within a reasonable time frame for them to get backordered parts shipped to you. $3,000 is a decent chunk of change but I hardly think that Intense is attempting to defraud you of your money. They are a well established business and are one of the "old timers" when it comes to import speed shops.

Snakes709 10-05-2009 06:44 PM

sorry "Patience"

INTENSEPOWER 10-05-2009 07:23 PM

OK OP has been pm'd. we have been extremely busy the past week and a half. We have been catching up from the phones being down the week prior to and shipping as many orders as quickly as possible.

We have been in business since 1999 and continue to help the community.

We have never defrauded anybody in the past. Our reputation is very clean within the industry and we will keep it that way.

I apologize for any unforeseen delays in the product as they were shipping directly from manufacture and they were given the dates you wanted them by.

I did offer wholesale pricing on the next order for OP should he choose to continue to do business with us in the future.

Thank you for your time and patience.

Classy response.

370book 10-05-2009 07:36 PM

Respectful response, I finally appreciate a reply. That's all I wanted

G37Sam 10-05-2009 07:44 PM

Still sucks that the OP had to go through creating all this drama and attention over the boards to grab their attention. A company "serving the community" since 1999 should have established better customer service by now IMO. Delays are understandable when it comes to imported parts with overseas shipping (trust me, I know), writing a 1 min text saying there has been a delay and we apologize for that is not though.

Just my 2 fils

azn370z 10-05-2009 07:51 PM

A company that doesn't answer their phone and email is a company I would never do business with. I don't expect a response in a few hours but definently in several days. Thanks for the heads up one more company to stay away from.

Snakes709 10-05-2009 08:22 PM

i guess u miss the part where he said the phones have been down. If phones are down, the internet is down (if on dial up)...even with non-dial up, chances r the internet was down...probably the same supplier.

Zsteve 10-05-2009 08:28 PM

The part that got me was he says the dates were from the manufactor but they should have check on that for him and not blame the manufactor and they should have offered the whole sale on the current item. Just good customer service and business that way.
